To simplify it all modern tetris games use 7-bag which means every bag contains the 7 tetrominoes but in different order, so the furthest 2 pieces can appear between placements is 12-13 pieces.

The game is neither cruel, nor angry. It simply wishes not to change its instruction. And I love that this skit captures that.

I remember that perfect reaction every time anything bad happens in my life, and it genuinely helps a lot.
