Most of the land in the villages is in the hands of a small number of landowners. Many regular people (mundkars/tenants etc) have had to fight in court for their land rights, and some are still struggling to close cases against these landowners. These landowners often sell extra land to big developers, which drives up land prices and makes it impossible for ordinary people to afford land in their own villages. Some villagers have moved to other countries like UK for a better life.

Families grow and today are turning nuclear and want to live with their own family and for this housing is a necessity. A blanket ban will only bring about a rash of illegal constructions
Unfortunately due to lackadaisical attitude by officials involved in passing the development, many fly-by-night builders are mushrooming. New constructions bring about better infrastructure but should be monitored closely to maintain the local ecology
