This isn't about wearing comfortable shoes, not eating so much salty or spicy foods, getting exercise to not get sick or need to take meds...this is a short list of daily reminders and considerations for probably anyone say age 50 and up that isn't some hollyweird starlets posing on red carpets...I'm talking about US regular folk. This is simply not looking down on an older person JUST because they are older. I'm trained by the elderly because my parents had me late at 40 so I was always around older people. Then I became a nurse who worked often in geriatrics so MORE older folk. I have had female patients who post hip replacement could not walk, maybe had some bandages and guess what? If she was conscious of her beauty routine at age 25...she's gonna be the SAME WAY at 75. People need to stop expecting a human being with a heart, feelings, life experiences etc to simply shut down and go away just because they are now 65 or 55 etc. I get HOPE when I see people older than me, especially women...since I'm a woman...looking good and loving their lives regardless of whatever. People need to ask themselves why they get offended at an older person not just fading away as that is the real issue imho. Aging and death is coming for us all. Some will stay Forever Young...and you do know what that means...they didn't live long enough to see 'old'. I'm so used to people in my family being of sound mind and active into older age that maybe that is why I have a healthy attitude towards the inevitable.@@GerardLee-mr3lb

I am 45 and for the longest I thought I looked young. Until all the cute younger guys started calling me ma’am. I thought I looked 25 but I really look like a Middle Aged woman huh? 😂
I have a friend who is exactly like this. We were in the same year level at school and even 40 years later she makes a point of telling people that we are not the same age as she is one year younger. She also tells people "I look young for my age" to which I heard someone respond "We are supposed to say that to you, not you saying that to us".
When my 60 yr old sister in law tells me this all I can think is the cashier behind the counter must be old too , they say your vision is the first thing to go 😂

There's actually some 16 year olds that look like they're 55. It's really sad it's some type of disease though. So I know a few 16 year olds with that disease. Try to be a bit more sensitive to your mom she's going through a midlife crisis.
I’m 58 but when I was in my 20s my biggest thing was when I was going to get gray hair . I already told myself I will have to dye my hair when that time comes. Now I’m 58 I decided I won’t although I don’t have a lot of gray yet nothing really to talk about. Just one little strand here or there.

My mom struggles accepting that she’s aging but she’s not delusional about it 😂 She only sometimes jokes about being 25, but she’s incredibly lucky to be able to make it to 54 years old 🤍 Not that she looks 54, she mostly looks like she’s in her mid-40’s, but nothing wrong with aging, it’s a beautiful reminder that you were blessed to get to that age, when some don’t even make it to their 30’s
@becz9485 My parents are reaching their 70's and starting to talk about end-of-life stuff all the time. They're still active, working, playing sports... like, I wish they wouldn't talk about it so much. Ppl live longer and longer these days, but their parents never made it to their age so that's why they're preparing themselves.
@bodyofhope yeah now that you mention it, my parents have outlived most of their relatives, my grandma died at 89 years ago. My dad just isn't in the best shape, so many back and knee surgeries. He's in a lot of pain everyday. My mom is keeping him young and strong, but she tells me he is getting frail now. My whole life he has never been frail, even though he's had a lot of injuries. Ugh. I try not to think of it, I live so far from them but I am trying to move closer so I can be there with them.
Same thing I thought. Many of my friends and family didn’t make it as far as I have. It’s a blessing and a gift to get older. I don’t care how many gen z or gen a children call me a senior citizen, a hag, etc. If given a chance they would love to live long happy lives. So I’m not offended with my age.

I will always feel bad for those people because it's society that put in our head thay we have to age "gracefully" cant we just get old and be okay with whatever comes?
Why are people even caring what peoples ages are? I couldn't care less what anyones age is. But when people want others to ferl old, that sucks! I work in a nursing home, and some residents will say they are old. These are people in 80s on up and when they'll say they are okay, i tell them they're not...i tell them that even if we live to be 125, we are babies compared to how old the universe is, i tell them there are TREES , tortoises, older than we are. I'm all about positivity. I want everyone to feel young, vital, beautiful and vibrant and LOVED! Oh and in that nursing home there are staff who are in their 20s, 30s and they say they themselves are old..i dont say it, but i think, Good luck with aging well if you already think you are old. Who cares what ages people are, if you are healthy, are content, are happy, hurt no one, spread positivity and are filled with love, that's all that matters.

Yeah when I looked really bad at 38 (a years worth of insomnia ruined my face but its better now after some great anti aging treatment) someone said 'oh dont worry you could pass for late 20's. ' Like, literally NO ONE else is gonna believe that!! How is that delusional actually gonna help me?! All it will do is set me up for crushing failure and disappointment. They also said that Keanu Reeves looked exactly the same as he did in the original Bill & Ted movies which were like 25-30 years ago!! Inside Im thinking 'you should really go to Specsavers! (Its a phrase we have in the UK to joke about bad eyesight)
Looking younger but is older is a blessing, I don't mind being older if only it didn't come with so much health problems, aches and pain. Just buried my brother at 49. So I am happy to be alive, 95 is 95 not 25, we had our chance to be young, give thanks for life and appreciate your time here.
I used to be like this before I hit 30. I once cut my hair super short and people kept telling me how young I looked and I got yelled at by a school teacher who thought I was a student. I let it get to my head and made a joke about being too young to have children and no one laughed. That’s when it hit me 😭 👵

@@mettamorph4523 No it’s not , it depends on your actual age. People do not tend to say “you look good for your age” when you are in your 20s or 30s . Those years people typically still look youthful and can get away with lack of sleep, weight gain , terrible diet and can actually still look fairly young. However, at 40 and older that’s when it counts . It’s easy to look good at 30, but if you are above 40 and have not taken care of yourself, stayed in sun , ate terrible, chain smoked, no dentist, no exercise, no water THEN that will start to be evident. Especially for women nearing menopause. Fact is the vast majority of men and women tend to slack off during those years and start to look terrible. It’s a huge compliment to tell a woman in her 60s that she looks good for her age because most look terrible . I just turned 40 , most people will put me at mid to late 30s or directly at my age. I actually think I look younger now vs when I was actually younger 😂 and a lot of people I know at 40 starting to look old .
Never i used to work in nursing home and came across a lots of 95years old people and never,i means never came across a 95years old that look 60,50,40,30,so forget about 25 if you are a celebrity have money to afford the best plastic surgeon than maybe he can make you look 50 or 55 40 is still very young when i was forty looked like i was 32 iused to exercises, doing pilates, and yoga and massages my diet was sugarless wth olives oils and baked salmon not a lots of eggs or dairy because their can cause swelling and ages you and no alcohol makes you poofy because of water retention but after my dad died and husband i became restless and stop paying attention is as id all theses because your diet plays a role in how you age. You can reverse the aging process with the way you eat. I think being healthy its the most important thing getting old its unavoidable but what if you look young but you feel trashed because of your health. Lets be grateful that we still here.but 95 is the new 25 that will never happen. 😮
Your cute for whatever age you are. I am sixty-three now. I am very grateful to Yah for his grace upon me. I embrace aging; it’s a blessing to go on this journey. If society didn’t hate people who look older, older looking people wouldn’t be saying this. Accept them as beautiful and then they’ll stop.
Facts! Ageism seems to be the only discrimination that is still socially acceptable.
Preach. Ageism has been around for so long and started this problem
You know what you have to face the fact that you are old. Trying to be young just isn't going to work, because you will be trying to keep up with the young people and your age will be tapping you on your shoulder asking you What are you doing? Go home and sit down before you fall down.

@@mettamorph4523
No it’s not , it depends on your actual age.
Not 95 is the new 25 😂 hellnawww 😂
