    I lived all my life in a tropical country wearing just one layer. I just moved to a 4 season country and have been struggling to know what to wear and how to layer as I'm more sensitive to the cold compared to others who have lived here for a long time. They also don't seem to understand my struggle because it's so normal for them to dress up in layers. Your video has been super helpful in teaching me how to be warm and not look weird and bulky! Thank you!!!!!

      Thank you! Right now at the beginning of the year, there are a lot of sales everywhere (as soon the spring collection will come in). Then again usually in the summer, black friday, boxing day, and start of Winter.
      I like to shop online as you can make use of coupons and subscriber discounts. In person I like to go to "Winners", as they often have branded clothing sold at 20-50% cheaper, year-round. Hope this helps!

    hello dear! this is so informative, i live in france and i use alot of of uniqlo heattech products! from socks, pajamas, pants and ultra warm thermals.. thats how i hate the cold. I want to ask, how do you use scarf with these jackets? when i use puffer jacket its not easy to look good with the scarf..
    Another thing is the gloves, do you use any uniqlo heattech gloves? was about to buy they dont look good at all 😅 however my hands really freeze outside .

    Thank you for this. Can you also do one video for spring season. I am a new immigrant and still confused whether to travel in april. 🙂

    • @LivinginCanada
      @LivinginCanada  Před rokem +2

      Thank you for the video idea! April weather is pretty fluctuating. I'm not sure yet if I'll make a video on this, but for now I can tell you that the weather (in Toronto) can fluctuate between minus 0°C (sometimes early April it snows) and above 10°C. I would pack a light jacket and few layers just in case it gets cold. In case it gets that cold, you have items to layer, but in case it doesn't get that cold, you can pick amongst one of the layers to wear. I would say it starts stabilizing towards end April-May. That's when you can really wear spring attire (cardigans, denim jackets). Another really useful thing as well is to use the weather app. Usually if you check it around a week before it's pretty accurate. Hope this helps!

    • @LivinginCanada
      @LivinginCanada  Před rokem +5

      It is warm, but depending on the temperature outside you need to layer it with a suitable sweater and jacket. The regular one for me holds up to minus 5 degrees celcius, max (+sweater). Any colder than that I need to switch to the extrawarm one. But to be conservative, the regular one is ideal for aruond 0 degrees, I would say.

    • @LivinginCanada
      @LivinginCanada  Před rokem +4

      You can always double layers, e.g. thin tights, then layer thermal legging (these are warmer than normal leggings), then jeans (alternatively, go for thick fleece joggers if you can afford to go casual)

    Not really feeling the "wearing thermals as the only top", because you can't fit anything else under the jacket/ coat. What if you have to go indoors and take off your outerwear? I see thermals as underwear, not actual tops. Just buy a jacket big enough, so that you can fit actual tops/ sweaters under :)

      I don't have the link to the exact product, I'm not sure if they still make this exact one. This one comes closest to the one I had: amzn.to/44Z1AY9
      But note that it doesn't say it has down feathers, so I 'm not sure how warm it is. This one also seems to look a bit shorter, but it might just be the model being tall. Design-wise it looks quite similar.
