    Add a little guasian, tiny bit of ripple, and liquify it. But I get where you're coming from. Wish I would've found this about 8 months ago after I made templates for 50 different apparel products!! Spending a day, you said? Major understatement!! hahah. However, I refuse to outsource. It's something I need to get past. So my main business is custom work for businesses, brands, clubs, etc. So a bit different than the brand. People want different materials, weights, looks, etc so no way I can do them all, or know what the next person is going to want. So I do them per order. Typcially people get one manufacturer or maybe a couple if they're getting shirts and hoodies or hats or zip ups. So question, I'm sure this site doesn't have every apparel product I have used or going to use. Then I might end up still having to do my own template. Stick to doing per order? Or try this and see where it takes me. I kill it in photoshop and illustrator, but time saved it money earned. So I need to figure this part out also. Any help wouldn't go un appreciated..
    P.S. I found our first major difference. I will never touch an apple or mac product. I believe you feel the same vise versa. hahah. No hard feelings? bahah. Thanks againg Lee.

This is the first time I'm writing here a comment, and I'm watching your videos for quite some time now, and you do great work on how to shoot and explain things and I've learned how to screenprint because of you, and thank you for that! Please talk more about licenses. Creative market is brutal with their costs when it comes to an extended commercial license. I personally am building an ecommerce website for the merch that I locally sell. I have been unable to come across anyone who is kind enough to let me use their mockups under a regular license so that I can showcase and sell my designs/merch on my website.

    You dont have to Shift click the range. There is a better shortcut. Just select the top most active layer. Then use this shortcut:
    (WIN) SHIFT/CNTRL/ALT/E
    (MAC) SHIFT/CMD/OPT/E
    Either will collect all visible layers and populate a new layer just above your top most active layer. Dont forget to disable the Background layers though first still.
    If you then wanted to save That new layer to its own Tab on a clear background so you can save it out as a PNG for futur mock-ups. follow this workflow below.
    Right click the newly made layer.
    then click Duplicate layer (dont hit ok)
    there is a drop menu under the heading Destination.
    Select 'new' in that Destination menu, then hit ok.
    If you remembered to disable the background layers you can now save this as a PNG.
    Once you get the workflow it is a fast process.
    Hope this helps out! ~g

    Hey awesome video buddy! So far, of nearly a hundred different videos I've watched yours is the absolute best! I heard what you said about the excessive time spent in photoshop & that's where I'm at now, about to pull all my hair out ha ha ha. I bought Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop about 2 months ago for this purpose & figured I'd just teach myself how to create a template & mock up, how hard could it be, right? Needless to say 2 months later here I am & still no mock up or template... I've got many questions but will keep it to 3 ha ha. Is it necessary to use a template every time you create a mock up? What is the difference between creating a template and creating a mock up? Is the file type for a mock up the same as the file type for a template?
    Again, great video! I'll watch it over & over! Thanks for your time!

    Love love love your videos! Always high quality! Though the new slider cut during dialogue takes away from the personal/intimate feel you usually have with your videos. Your cuts and B-Roll (in all of your videos) have just the perfect run and cutting timing, without the new added slider shot, that maintains the audiences attention. Again just is a personal feel and constructive criticism. Keep up the quality shit!

    great video. any recommendations on the a mockup making it to exact scale on a mockup. For example, if a client wants the back design at 12 inches, can you make scale it accordingly to be sure the mock up shows it as if it were 12 inches wide?

    • @leestuart38
      @leestuart38  Před 3 lety

      Corel draw is vector based software like illustrator, so it wouldn't work for this. I highly recommend making the investment into adobe, I know it sucks but it's the industry standard and you'll get a lot farther with all of the learning resources out there for it.

    Hey Lee, When i place a PSD that i downloaded directly into AI there doesnt seem to be any editable layers except "your design goes here" and "layer 1". I dont have Photoshop yet and im unsure how to get these mockups to work? I let an Adobe representative remotely log in and even they couldnt get it to work. Any help would be appreciated. cheers

    I am running into issues after saving when I edit the Smart Object layer.
    A prompt comes up that says, "could not update smart object files because the file could not be found"
    Any ideas on how to fix this?

    • @leestuart38
      @leestuart38  Před 2 lety

      Don't worry about that, it's still updating and doing what it needs to. If you go back to your mock-up window you'll see it there. There is a way to fix it in the instructions that come with the pack, but it usually comes back because photoshop is always full of issues so I just ignore it
