  • The Z-Man Shad FryZ is a tiny 1.75" swimbait out of Z-Man's micro finesse collection. This is my first experience with any Z-Man lure and I was very impressed. The durability of the lure is great, but most importantly, it produces results. The fish really loved this lure and I can't blame them. Definitely looking forward to fishing this lure some more, maybe even in some other colors.

The color looks like the peach ring gummies. The z-man micro stuff is solid. Several folks have told me to try this Shad. I think Z-man and Nikko both use alien tentacles in their plastics. 😂 Unreal stretch. Some fantastic gills, bass, and a Mayan! Looks like that lure passes the test. You are right, that they are a tad large for the smaller panfish. Great video, my friend.

Certainly think you should try this out for some crappie or something larger. Interested in what you have to say about my next video coming out on Wednesday. It's about the LarvaZ. I didn't have too much success with with, but I know you and others have.

These little swimbaits work great in the fall during crappie season. Last fall, I caught so many crappie with the shad fryz. I even got the same avid panfish rod in preparation for this fall

Nice. Unfortunately we don't have crappie this far south, but I thought they'd be good for that too. You'll love this rod for crappie. They'll still put a nice bend into it, but you won't be outmatched.

Caught about 20 mayans on a shadfryz in the Tamiami canal before they finally got the tail off. One of my favorite baits to throw for multispecies down there

Nice. They're slightly more expensive than other brands, but you certainly get your money's worth.

Looks like a fun day. I would have thought that those were coppernose bluegill.

Thank you. I've used them a bit over the last several months and they're certainly my favorite micro swimbait now.

I have had a lot of the tails clipped off by fish. Maybe I got a bad batch.
Skipjack Shad will take the tails pretty often

Interesting. I haven't had that experience and I used these in saltwater too to catch some juvenile jacks and barracuda. Never had a tail come off.

@@TheFishingNomad That’s wild. I’ve lost Lots of tails to Bluegill while fishing crappie in brush piles to the point that I switched back to Bobby Garland Baby Shad’s

Are you storing them in the original packaging and keeping separate from other lures? They can breakdown if stored improperly.

Oh good point. I made this mistake with some Nikko products. They basically melted away.

I wonder how theyd do in Bermuda waters

Just as well. I don't see why they wouldn't then again it all depends on what you're gonna be targeting and their food preferences.

I've done pretty well with the white/pearl (not sure what it's actually called) one for some smaller saltwater fish like juvenile jacks and barracuda. I think you'll do pretty well with these in Bermuda as well.
