Ubisoft donated half a million Euros, *and* made the game free instead of taking advantage of the massive publicity. Serious respect there. EA would never come close to doing this.

No they aren't. No one from ubisoft have said that will happen but they did say that they're happy to help in anyway they can. Especially because the notre dame in this game isn't exactly to scale
@@ReblazeGaming look it up on CZcams. There are big news companies reporting on it. I probably should've phrased it as they "could" use the 3d scans to rebuild it. Ubisoft has one of the most accurate maps of Notre Dame in recent history. They made changes to it for playability reasons but they should still have the original map and they could help rebuild it.

@Fernando - AC is still great. Origins made it feel like I was really there. Hell I went in to the Temple of Zeus! Sure it was 3D gaming, but the realism and accuracy with the history of that era felt so real that it was incredible.

It's a shame that this game was buggy as hell. This was the first one in the series that was impressive in both graphics and detail with regard to the stone architecture.
To be honest with yoy ac unity is not as bad as people say. Its not perfect. But its not the worst.

@@hannibalburgers477 in my opinion odyssey. I really dont like ac3 but also recognize that as personal preference. Odyssey lost the very little left of the ac franchise origins had. Now the game just feels like a historical rpg. Which isnt what i look for In assassins creed.

This game was heavily underrated. When it first came out and everyone hated it becsuse "IT'S TOO GLiTcHyYY!!" This became my 2nd favorite assassins creed game. I loved the lore, even the glitches made me giggle
Nah I hated it because of the story, Arno and especially Elise which was the worst character, and it's supposed to be glitchy because of the time rifts, etc
@@David-nq8cv no, I think the glitches people are talking about are flying people and falling through the map and stuff. But it has been fixed now.

Unity is the only descendent of AC1 and Ezio trilogy, a real AC game in which you feel like an assassin. It just lacks a deep storyline with mysteries, physiology and charismatic characters
Best move Ubisoft did in a long while also not promoting those woke garbage they do, who would have thought one of the weakest AC would be so important
I don't think Ubisoft was ever a bad company or they made bad games at all, it was just one thing that people disliked that they made their trailers too cinematic and the game didn't looked as they expected (of course they were limited by the technology of that time).

Because the devs went overboard with the details, to the point where it was hard to handle tech-wise and for project management. Which is why they scaled it down for the next ones.

The Roman Catholic Church is a multi-trillion dollar corporation but it did not have fire insurance on the Notre Dame cathedral? I find that very hard to believe. Why should anyone have to donate money to the church to have it rebuilt?
Edit: I discovered that the Notre Dame is not actually owned by the Catholic Church but is in fact owned by the French government. Still, didn't the French government have the building insured against fire or terrorism?

It did, lots of the contents of Notre Dam are insured. The building itself is not, because the state of France acts as its own insurer.

Altough Ubisoft did a great job, I am pretty confident that the spire shown here was not built at the time of the French Revolution, when the action is supposed to take place
The original spire was taken down in 1792-1793 (during the events of the game) and then they rebuilt another one in its place in 1858 (the one that was burned)

The Pro and X barely got it to a stable 30fps after the horrendous performance on the original consoles.
Current gen consoles needs to be around 4x faster to run this 4k 60fps.
