    I've always been a hardcore fan of pumps and strictly 12 gauge but after shooting this gun I absolutely love it.

    Prices on the wood grained models are going up. Hard to find one for less than $1000 these days. Can get polymer/waterfowl editions for less.

    Hi LIoyd, i do own this very gun in the composit version with a kick off system. The softest sotgun in the market and the patterns are really greate with all loads. Better than A400 series in terms of balance. It fits to the 99/100 of the users. Great successful auto from Beretta. I did cerakote all metal parts in mine in grafite black and its a real beuty and sure is a keeper. I am really an o/u fun but i have to admit that this auto is one of the best if not the best. A..forgot....urica 2 has a bore of 18.6 not 18.5. Its not much of a difference but thats stamped on the barrel. Great video, thumbs up !!

      Grafite Black sounds good if you are on Facebook why not post a picture I would be really interested in seeing it.

      Latest produced Urika 2 have bores 18.5 or 18.6 and optima plus chokes. My Urika 2 Gold is from one of the first batches produced, has 18.4 mm bore and mobile chokes, but I have seen some with 18,3 bores also.

    Tell ya what Lloyd, these buggers have shot up in price. A top condition 391 Teknys are pulling 700 to 900 quid in 2024

    • @lloydyp
      @lloydyp  Před 11 dny +1

      I must admit I would have to check the price. Not noticed a big uptick.

  • @andy-maunder
    @andy-maunder Před 5 lety +2

    I've got the black 'tactical' version and I love it.. except I get frowned upon at certain shoots.. a. because it looks more military and b. because despite using a bright orange flag when I'm carrying it around, they want to see shotguns broken open when not actually firing. I've been 'told off' more than a few times for apparently 'pointing' my 391 at people, despite the flag. Excellent quality for the money, shoots well, good to hold and looks great.

    • @andy-maunder
      @andy-maunder Před 3 lety

      @What saith the scripture? When I say 'pointing', I mean resting the barrel on my shoulder straight into the air. People just get upset because its not broken.

    • @lloydyp
      @lloydyp  Před 3 lety +1

      People generally don't like being muzzled, you cant always see the flag, but some people are a little tooo sensitive.

    Ho l'Urika prima serie e funziona bene anche se ha i suoi anni.Si fatto mettere a posto qualche tempo fa' perché ormai non funzionava più.Come punto debole è il cut-off a sinistra e poco pratico,era meglio nell'astina ex A303mc.

    Since I value your knowledge I have a question : I recently picked up a 391 urika parallel target stepped rib and Monte Carlo stock as I am not a big sporting clays shooter and my ignorance as to the main purpose of this gun my main use was to be a pheasant and possible grouse gun will this gun do alright as a field gun ? It is the urika 1 I guess as it has the Mobil choke system . Thank you in advance I have an A350 extreme I waterfowl with also .

    • @lloydyp
      @lloydyp  Před 3 lety

      Never come across one of those in the UK but I believe it's a trap gun. No reason it won't serve as a field gun as long as it fits you, and it shoots where you are looking.

    Hi Lloyd, watched with interest as just sold my o/under for various reasons and looking to buy a Semi, never having fired one or cleaned one, so I think Second Hand to start with, in your video you clearly say 28inch Barrels but when looking at the advert for the gun you are using on Bywell's web site it says 30inch Barels can you advise .Regards Frank

    • @lloydyp
      @lloydyp  Před 6 lety

      If this is the one you are referring to: www.bywellshootingground.co.uk/beretta-al391-urika-12g-used.html it's a different gun. The one in the video is an Urika2.

    • @frankbaugh6814
      @frankbaugh6814 Před 6 lety

      Sorry my mistake, assumed you would be using the one they are selling.

    • @lloydyp
      @lloydyp  Před 6 lety

      That one is for sale, I just don't think they have had time to put it on the website, as I have had it for testing. Having said that it's entirely possible I mixed up and gave the wrong barrel length in this case as there are several in stock. Best bet is to call and they can discuss with you what is available. Stock changes all the time.

    would you choose this or the Fabarm L4s?

    • @lloydyp
      @lloydyp  Před 5 lety +1

      Bloody hell, good question. Both have great ergo, and on the face of it are well matched. However I have no information on depreciation on the fabarm, the Beretta will hold its money well should you want to sell it later, I don't know how the L4S will fare in this regard, simply because they are new to market.
