Ape labs Stick XL in review. These lights are amazing and work very well in and out of the ape labs ecosystems of connected lights. www.apelabsusa.com/#bf1e8bb714
These are really nice! The only thing that gets me though, is the cheaply made remote, and they charge A LOT for these lights. They could at least give you a nicely made remote at this price point. I'm from the UK and us mobile DJs here couldn't really justify buying any Ape Labs stuff because they all cost so much, and we charge a lot less compared to the US, and because there are so many people here willing to do gigs for next to nothing then we can only really charge £200 - £400 for normal gigs, or £400 - £800 for a wedding, not many are priced over that unless they're including lots of other stuff too. So it's really difficult to spend the money on expensive lights, unless we're doing weddings every week!
@@lavishlifedjs I know what you mean, I've ordered a pair of Gravity lighting stands which were quite pricey just for a single fixture stand each and yes I did see your video on this stand, but unfortunately the alternative wasn't available in the UK. Think I'll move to the US at this rate 😂. Oh and I don't know whether you've tried it or not but I've just invested in Mydmx Go which seems to be pretty good for automating things quickly. The Wash FX come alive with it!! Absolutely amazing just for Wash FX alone, worth a look!
@@jonlawrance8383 "Cheaply made remote" as opposed to what? Most remotes look cheap in general, and it works far better than allot of other LED remotes too.
Govee lights are brighter but not as portable. Both are pretty easy to control either via an app or the ape control for the sticks The two biggest differences that matter to me are 1. Battery operation and 2. Ability to sync with the rest of my lights
Hey Dj Peck , I love ape labs, but they are very expensive and the piece you didn't know the name of is an EMT connector found in the electrical aisle.
I got two, then four, now 5-6 are on the way, along with six universal stands. I'm hoping it will provide some bling and symmetry so I can conceal 18" cardiod subs off to one side. Oh wow, that would be SO amazing.
Bro I love the DIY you come up with, so creative and it actually works. Super cool
Thanks Nathan 🙏🏾
loved your creativity with the lamp stands 🙌🙌🙌
Thank you! 😊
Keep stepping the game up!! Nice diy!!stay lavish DJ !!
yessir...always trying to step up 🦾
I've got 2 XLs- saving my 💰 to get 4 more - I've got an Ape Labs addiction 😬
I hear ya…I started off with 4 coins
FYI the connecting pc is called a conduit coupling. It's for connecting electrical pipes "conduit" .... Great idea!!!!
Thanks for the info! You can tell I’m not handy, just solution driven
@@lavishlifedjs yeah I definitely give you props!! Super resourceful.
Love these, glad you got some!
My guy ! Thanks for stopping in
I have more stuff coming in…this doesn’t stop ha
@@lavishlifedjs They got us hooked!
Oh baby that looks great!!
Thanks ! Gear acquisition syndrome…it starts small lol
That booth fire🔥
Appreciate it 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Thanks Jon 🙏🏾 these are expensive but definitely worth it in my market (or might be trying to convince myself it is :)

How does the brightness compare to the govvee you were using before
Nice
Appreciate it 🙏
Other than the control remote how do they compare to the Govee lights ? I feel the govee are brighter.

Those ape stick xl fit between the speakers rcf evoke 12? Thanks
I think they do, haven't tried them yet

Ah EMT connector…thanks for the heads up
Yes these are expensive

They definitely add some pizazz...They look more elegant in person versus the videos
🙌

sweet =)
👌🏾🙏🏾
I love them but 2300 plus tax is steep. I have jmazz galaxy tubes with remote much less expensive option for me at this time. Enjoy rocking them
They are expensive…I’m locked in with these ape labs lights man
Any good alternatives? 😭
Hmm...Both lighting titan tubes ?
How much did you pay if you don’t mind me asking?
Hey Sagar reach out to Justin at the DJs Guru for a good price.
