I liked it. I nestled in the seat and watched an adult movie with dialogue and a story line. I didn't see it as a rom com. They didn't hook up until near the end. It was about a historical event, nostalgic, and with funny bits.
ScarJo really won me over and I never saw her films. Channing I thought was one note. He didn't win me over, and he may have been miscast. But the whole story line was comfortable and the sets and costumes were so realistic. It felt like the 1960s.

I’m glad you liked it! In hindsight it’s not much of a rom com but that it what the film advertised itself to be. It also has a lot of weak comedic moments that seemed to conflict with the stronger more realistic moments in the film. I thought the storyline was pretty good and decently. The characters were all likable. ScarJo was great. And yeah, the sets, costumes, and even the cgi were all by far my favorite parts of the film. All three felt very realistic and I just overall loved the look of this film.

Yes, I felt the same. Channing was quite pale. Scarlett was the heart of the movie. But maybe that was the point, to honour the warmth that women can bring to a situation.

Loved it. Nice easy watch with humour, sadness and romance. Just the thing for a rainy afternoon!.

As someone working in PR, marketing, and public affairs, my aunt and I actually had moments of laughing our hearts out. It has very subtle and intelligent humour both in the situations and the language. The pacing of the movie must have more to do with it wanting to look like a movie of the 60s both in its cinematographic art and in its content.

Saw it yesterday. I enjoyed it. Only 2 people in the theater. I agree it was too long.
