They should make a LEGO Dimensions 2 with Star Wars marvel and other franchises that were in the originals as well as new ones

Jon Mcintyre I doubt that they would make marvel and Star Wars just because they made those as games already. They may have made LEGO movie packs and LOTR packs but those are different.
I've always wondered what happened to Lego Dimensions, thank you for clarifying this long, unanswered, and until recently - unfulfilled question of mine.
Wow that sucks! lego dimensions was amazing! not just the figures which I love the game a lot because of it because getting lego portal was sick! but the game itself was really really good!

This game deserves a sequel, besides this game was part of our 2015-16 memories. This was THE LEGO game that we’ll always get home from school to play every Friday night, or wake up to play every Saturday morning like Saturday morning Cartoon throwback since Scooby Doo, Sonic, The ghostbusters, Mr T, The justice league, The Teen Titans, and Beetlejuice are in this game.
I have recently had an idea of asking TT Games if they could release a new pack and see how well it does and if it does well they might bring it back, but if it doesn’t do well then they wont
LarryOli 11 if they don’t make the game like Skylanders, it could be like amiibo, with a starter pack that doesn’t have a toy pad, but it has The game, Batman (based on Bruce Timm design), Apocalypseburg Wyldstyle (Lucy), Bilbo Baggins, and the Escape Buggy.

If you find the starter pack cheap you need to get it I’m 17 and I really enjoyed it. Sonic the hedgehog was my favorite by far. That entire pack was an actual dream come true for me

It would be cool if they revived it in a nin toys to life version. Unlock characters in the main story(and the universes). There were a few ones I needed(simpsons, the other adventure time figures, Ghostbusters, etc). Hope i can find some online

This type of game with figurines, and playsets is really expensive for the industry, and expensive, so not everyone can have it. That is why Disney Infinity was cancelled as well

I thought the death was because they didn’t release a second story level and instead released boring battle levels with games that are impossible to win

Lego dimentions got collectors to care about the video game, and the video game players to care about collecting. It was a shame that it evnetually had to end. I honestly wish that they released some sort of bundle with everything in it, and allowed the game to be played without the toys to life part of it, because I mean I would honestly enjoy being able to no have this game fade from the earth. I do know that modding exists and some people get the game to work by spoofing nfc tags, but It would be nice to see tt at some point in the future allow us to see our favourite figures and characters like this again.
Looking back at this...
This wasn't a bad game at all, granted, it needed some patches after launch over and over but it was great, it was also a rather cheap alternative to get some figures and had some exclusives. And it was a TTL game that had a lot of open worlds and story packs aside from a lot of creative outputs to problems.
Sadly the game suffered from Skylander imaginations overhyped thing and failed with its season 2 which apparently costed way more than the first and also partially by the Ghostbusters theme being focused on the 2016 remake.
Maybe the game could of had some more attention, expand to some other franchises, add creative modes similar to Worlds. Hype their game more and reduce prices.
Hell, Skylanders did that with Giants and the game ROCKETED after that half cut of the price, proving people really wanted to play but only had an issue with the price.
This just seems common with TTL games, mostly suffering from their high prices and lack of change.
If there is one thing I know. I hear disney infinity and Skylander are bought by the younger generation. There's a reason not some of the 80's minifigures and places are unrecognizable to the younger generation. They didn't exactly live in that time frame. They are not going to know what that is. Because nowadays the younger generation are familiar with now fan or pop culture.
Not to mention the company owning lego crave money. Most companies will raise the price up to increase their stocks. If it's not selling in their favor they will stop or cancel. They don't care about how much it cost, they just want to make more money. They aren't thinking about how everyone is feeling about the expense. They didn't think it through. Plus whoever is working for them didn't plan it correctly. I think it's not necessary to make that price go up. That's like paying your electric bill or water. Why that much?I beginning to think not everyone isn't in it to pay that much maybe too them it's ridiculous price. Not to mention parts and sets to make.
I like waiting until something is unpopular and cheap, so I can buy them without having to waste a ton of money.
Lego dimensions was a big exception though.
I would've paid top dollar for them things if they didn't have to sell out so quickly!

I’m 17 and I love the goonies I love this entire game. I really wish it wouldn’t end 😢😢 I’m staring to try and find a bunch of characters and collect them.

"The Star Wars licenses the Marvel licenses" Sure they could do Marvel but then they can't have Batman or Robin or the DC characters because DC would not be happy that their competetor is also in this game.

I've seen fun packs at dollar stores for like $3. So sad to see the game go. Makes me wish I would have bought it when it came out, so I would have had that experience. But the starter pack was way too expensive ($109 in Canada), and, honestly, the game didn't even look like much fun (especially when you compare it to something like Lego Universe). But I'm seeing it at Bestbuy and Walmart for half the price now, so I'll probably consider getting it for Christmas or something.

LEGO Minecraft in LEGO Dimensions would have been interesting, would have been cool to see other game franchises.
You haven't been able to buy the Portal2 pack in any shop/store in the UK 🇬🇧 for about a year now. Loads on eBay though. A few stores here are doing 3 for 2 offers on sets.
Also there were too many fun packs that really didn't do much. They should have just stuck with level packs

This could have been a good ass game if they didn't make you buy the characters, it can still be good if they just do one update and remove it
Yeasterday I played some Lego Worlds and started thinking about Lego Dimensions. Then I just sat there and was just sad. I really hope we get a second game where we get new figures while at the same time, we can also use the old ones and maybe even some of them can pop up in stores again aswell as new ones. I know that won't happen tho 😔.

I haven't even gotten the game yet and really am dying to play it, I dont get my ps4 until September and am first getting Spyro Reignited Trilogy, I just hope they keep selling the game, pack and figures I'm only collecting my favorites anyways. Starter Pack (obviously), The Lego Batman Movie, Scooby Doo, Emmet, Sonic, Cyborg, Simpsons, Power Puff Girls, JW, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Joker, Ghostbusters, and Goonies along with some of the vehicles. Luckly there is a game store a couple towns from me that collects and sells a lot of old and cancelled games, consoles, and action figures for a good price so maybe I still be able to get them there as well as amazon.
I think if they were still going today and they had the marvel license they would have made a WandaVision world
Disney infinity was the cause of the death of their online games like Pixie Hollow, I will never forgive them for it
I love this game and I’m not into computer games. Have to say though this video goes on about it’s a shame and he’s really upset that it’s ending but he doesn’t even have the game!!! This is exactly why it’s cancelled, people just didn’t buy it and occasionally brought packs for the Minifigure only. I actually brought a second hand ps3 just for this game as I have no interest in any other games. I’ve nearly got them all just about six packs to go and I’ve done this in under a year solely on promotions, as I appreciate the work and the access every pack got you, it still cost a lot of money. As a massive Lego fan it came down to a choice of spending on packs or buying sets, the average person just can’t do both. Lego isn’t cheap but these were just a little to over priced even for Lego. I’ve made the decision to get all the packs before they disappear solely because I’ve invested too much not to now.
I agree. Besides I got my lego dimensions starter pack from Amazon. And it's better to buy it when those prices drop. I got almost all the wave one packs and quite there on wave two. It's taken me a year to try to open up portals with a minifigure. I got a little ways to go.

So I bought my base set at Target for fifteen dollars yesterday. It's a cool system, I just keep having game loading problems. It can't find my save file. I would like to get more characters, but at the time only Power Puff girls were on the very bare rack.
I got two starter packs at Target a PS4 one for $17 with an extra figure and $7 for Wii U.

I would say that the initial price of the starter pack contributed to this. They charged 100 bucks for what i heard was a 8-10 hour campaign and enough lego pieces to build the portal and three characters. At least skylanders and infinity made the character figures look detailed. Lego dimension’s characters were just handfuls of plastic
Also, Skylanders and infinity were both cheaper than dimensions.
Dam I really wish Lego dimension had a better life span cuz it was a good game and I love the mini figures in the little set things.

and some other Packs like goonies etc.for only 20€ I think starting with the game now wasn't a bad idea.

There are 269 pieces in the starter pack if you count the game and the thing you put the characters on if you count actual Lego pieces then there's 267

Because the second wave sucked, only real heavyweight up it had was Harry Potter. Rest was cartoons or nostalgic. Don't get me wrong I loved and got Beetlejuice but still it doesn't carry
The new story packs sucked. Nothing really stood out. Mostly based on movies and we only got a few levels for the price of a full game. They there was nothing new added to base game instead of other worlds we had to pay for. No new story no new levels for a game that says we never needed to get a new version. There was nothing for wave 2 and why it sucked

Everyone wants a massive crossovers featuring their favorite characters from different franchises, but I think that idea gets old after a while.Plus they didn't really know who to target it to? Kids? Adults? Nostalgia fans?
Good point. Nowadays kids aren't into lego but it does vary to one individual to the another. It all depends who's interested in them.
