  • Sorry for the weird glitchy transitions throughout the video!!
    QUESTIONS:
    1. Have you had to deal with hair loss if so, how has it been?
    2. How do you deal with setting boundaries among people who try to invalidate your journey?
    3. What did you wish you knew before starting testosterone?
    4. Has T allowed you to heal from insecurities not just by helping with dysphoria, but in the ways it allowed you to grow as a person? What are you still dealing with that hormones didn’t affect?
    5. Do the starting points you came from still feel familiar? Is it hard to remember some things about life before you came out?
    6. It feels personal asking this question but I would like to know how your mental health (in general and/or regarding your gender) was before you started taking T verses now. Wondering how your confidence levels and security in yourself and who you are have evolved
    7. What body fat redistribution have you experienced over the last two years?
    8. What are your feelings about potentially being perceived as male in the future if you are to continue T?
    9. I am starting low dose (0.25) T injections on Tuesday. Do you have any advice?
    10. I am wondering in what ways you feel that you've changed/grown emotionally/mentally over the course of the last two years? I'm also wondering what emotional/mental changes/growth that Kai and/or other loved ones have noticed in you since 2018?

    Congrats on 2 years of T! I am 9 months on T today. Your videos give me hope for the physical changes from T in the future. I feel like there's not many other nonbinary folks who are on low dose T for long periods of time so thank you for sharing this!

    Thanks for answering my question and others! These videos are so helpful, calming and informative and you have a presence that I think doesn’t really exist for people in this boat, so thank you for putting yourself out there! I’m trying to do what feels the best for me and know that if I do so I will have the strength to deal with whatever comes from that.

    I am 41. I had no options for a long time because I didn’t know options exist. Then 6yrs ago I had a bad experience which frightened me from it, which I won’t share because there’s no point, but I decided it was something I needed to do and hearing the phrase “check in with myself” (something I heard from you in another video and here) was sort of a breakthrough lightbulb moment, like oh yeah... I can check in and make adjustments as I go. I don’t need to decide right now. I guess if I had a question it would be, do you know now where you want to go? Or is the journey for you a series of check-ins and adjustments? Is there some point where you figure out, this is the level I’m staying at for good/I’m good right here etc.? I figure even if you don’t do a video addressing that, maybe others are trying to sort that out and might have some feedback just by asking. It’s my first day so, you know... anxiety. Good and bad. More good than bad now though. 🙂

      I'm 42 and just started T less than a month ago! Meg has been amazing and so extremely helpful for me. The "check in with yourself" thing is so very important and sometimes I forget to do that. Getting that gentle reminder from them always makes me feel better. Congrats for the "more good than bad" :) You deserve the good!

    Love your energy and how you inform us on your own journey! I've been considering low dosing T and was worried about adding that extra layer of gender exploration to my life when everything else feels so hectic, but it sounds like an exciting journey that may bring some relief and confidence for myself and I might try and start soon. Thank you for your videos!

    Hi Meg! I know you posted a while ago about lowering your dose. I’m wondering if since you lowered your dose whether T changes have stayed steady, slowed, stopped, or regressed?
    Also, thanks for talking about changes that were disappointing, but overall led to growth. Sometimes I feel like there’s an expectation that T changes are always easy and universally positive. Being on T has felt like a vulnerable process for me that, while overwhelmingly positive, has brought challenging feelings at times. It’s nice to hear someone else acknowledge that.

    This was super informational and helpful, thank you! As a non-binary person I really don't want noticeable facial hair or a Super deep voice, so it's really encouraging to know there's an option other than Big Man Mode TM (also I love your pup!!!)

  •  Před 3 lety +2

    i started microdosing T this week! thanks for posting how much T you take daily, i’m on one pump right now but i think i may go to two pumps after my three month mark as you did.

  • @Sam-gc6mi
    @Sam-gc6mi Před 3 lety +3

    I'm genderfluid, and when I have bad days with dysphoria and stuff of that nature, it's always about reasons like my voice sounding too high (even if the ppl close to me assure me I have quite a deep voice as it is, I just don't hear that) or my face, or the way weight settles on me. I have debated whether or not T would be something for me. And I had no idea there were low doses for people of genders in-between! What I feared about T doesn't seem to apply to the low dose version, and it might as well be what I've been needing!!

    I'm still a minor but in the near future I want to get top surgery and possibly a hysterectomy (I'm still doing so digging on that) but I've been starting to consider possibly starting low dose T, I'm fairly androgynous in my face and I plan to start working out in the next week so hopefully that can 'even out' my body a bit. my voice isn't deep deep but its deeper than a lot of my cis female friends, tho not as deep as my cis male friends.
    if anyone has any experience or opinions on what I've stated please let me know

    Anyone else feel like super hopped up on energy a few hours after their first does? Is that pretty normal? Or is that adrenaline from nerves? Or like extreme thirst?

    • @quryshna
      @quryshna Před 3 lety +1

      Yes. I don't know if it's normal. I've linked that excitement or extra energy to me being one more step closer to the changes I want/need. Just knowing that I'm getting that 'happy sauce' (lol) which makes me love my body is just exciting haha

    Idk if anyone here has an experience of their own to share, but i guess it wouldnt hurt to ask anyways. Im really wanting to start microdosing t. My biggist concern though is hair loss. My long hair is my pride and an important part of who i am and, unfortunately, the idea of hair loss or thinning is the only thing stopping me from doing hrt.
    If anyone has microdosed short or long term and is willing to share their hair experiences that would be super awesome. (Im aware that everyones body reacts differently but i still want to consider other peoples experiences) I just want to start this process and not be so afraid that I might regret this aspect of it. Ive been waiting so long and i just want to be me now.

      I’m a bit late, but finasteride is a medication cis men take to stop/improve balding by blocking DHT. But it can also effect other things, and like any medication can have side affects so I recommend looking it up yourself
