@@CiaraMcDowell Went with the Skylight. Just started using it...we shall see.
I just cannot justify the $600 price point PLUS a $10 monthly subscription cost. Knowing that they can (and will) raise the monthly cost later down the line completely kills any sort of motivation I have to get it.
It’s definitely a lot of funny so it is nice that they offer an affiliate link and you get paid for whatever ones you sell. It helps even out the cost.

Great review! I’ve been thinking about this for over a year now. I think I have to bite the bullet and pay….single mom, 3 kids working full time. I’m desperate enough to pay at this point lol.
I’m wondering if there is a list/grocery list option where everyone can add to the lists and it updates to the app?

I think you’re going to enjoy having it in your home. It’s helped me a lot. As of now they don’t have a spot for grocery’s specifically, but there is a to do list that you could add your groceries to.
Does your calendar make a phantom click/noise about 4 seconds after to perform an action on the device? For example, you select the + to add an event and then exit/cancel out of it. Wait for 4 seconds, does it make a click noise?
Some times but not all the time. Is your still doing it?
I have one. I'm looking to see what the camera is for. From what you said, it seems like it doesn't have a purpose at this point. Is that right?
No purpose yet but I’m hoping they come out with what they have planed soon.
Does it make a sound or an alarm when it’s time for the kids to do something on their to-do list?
No but I would love if they added that

Yes I think it would be so helpful for homeschooling
Will it sync with my apple Calendar?
I have it set up with google calendar but I think you can sync it with most calendars including Apple
I really would love to buy this and I’m in South Africa. When setting the time and weather, is it limited to the US based time zones?
I’m not sure but it might be worth sending them an email to ask.
I’ve did a few months ago, it’s been configured for the US only and hasn’t been developed for the other countries/continents for now. Enjoy it for all of us. ❤
I have one question, there’s no way possible that the kids could use apps on this thing like CZcams or brows the Internet? I don’t want to buy this display and my kids turn it into a personal kitchen tablet 😅
Haha I completely understand. That’s part of the reason I bought this one and gave it a try. There’s no way for them to make it a tablet it doesn’t have access to the Internet, Internet like that.
It’s not like some of the other displays that have more options with stuff like that.
@@CiaraMcDowell at the end its just android with 1 app in full-screen mode. Anyone with enough knowledge can get access to root & turn it into a tablet.
Is it possible to filter the calendar display to only show certain categories (or people) at at time?

Yes you can sync your Google Calendar to it
I have been contemplating purchasing this for my home, but my biggest question is does this display require a subscription to do everything youve demonstrated?
Yes you do need a subscription that cost about 10 a month

Nope. Came here to PM you this but figured I’d check the comments first. It’s a 347 number. You can see it if you pause during transition. Highly doubt anyone is gonna text it but it’s still visible.
Yeah it looks nice but why are they reinventing the wheel instead of trying to be maybe absorbed by Apple so I can just get my Apple wall pad Apple wall pad and I want it to be available in 65 inches 42 inches and 32 inches just like computer monitors it makes me think about getting a really large touchscreen laptop and having browsers open in four quadrants with my iCloud calendar on it weather website a weekly calendar monthly calendar and maybe into list for a shopping list all associated on the screen windows is not really friendly with iCloud websites but I know that they already make touchscreen laptops so could I buy a MacBook and a display/touchscreen input and then connect it to my MacBook and put it on the wall within the Apple ecosystem right by my thermostat or maybe have a couple of them a little one for the kids and I one for me and my wife NFL flag be always on and when somebody rings the doorbell like the front camera wall bring up or I’ll always have a display of my security system and I wouldn’t mind having a button that’s like privacy so if we do have somebody over I just walk over and press the privacy for the doorbell rings are automatically shifts to privacy mode
I mean I think you could be on to something. That just all seems like to much work for me lol.
I also didn’t want something that offered to much stuff on it for it to be a distraction for me and the kids.
But if you feel like that’s what would fit your family best then go for it! I think it could be a really good idea!!
