Hi there! How much was that choke stuck? I have a similar issue with a modified choke. The welding way is intriguing, some say that the welds contract the choke steel. Could that be true ?
I THINK NOT - THE END OF THE BARREL WOULD NOW BE BRITTLE AS HELL, BECAUSE OF THE HEAT - BEST TO BUY A NEW BARREL - THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It worked!!!
I noticed a lot of flammable stuff on the bench where you were welding (oil, aerosols, paper, etc.) Had any fire problems?
G31mR Yea, not the best place to weld, but we got lucky, no fire, except a little paper burning up :-)
Did your barrel warp at all?

Better to tap the choke with a hammer to break the carbon.
