Sup yall! This video has been long overdue: its been requested for a while now, and thankfully people have still been requesting it recently. Here's finally a reaction to Aigel's 'Tatarin'.
So this video was interesting. I looked up 'tatarin' on the Internet and I'm still confused as to what the correlation is between the meaning of the word and the video. Anyway, what I get from it is that the main guy is a criminal that has been released from prison, ultimately to get caught by the police again at the very end of the video. In the process, he does other small bad things, implying that maybe he doesn't really care about the law or anything like that.
Song wise, I'm not quite sure I like LIKE the song...? I mean, its sounds sort of robotic and monotone for me XD. Anyway, the video was awesome because of the Adidas and skateboarding, and the product placement of the Sale chip ahhaha. So hilarious!

Ira, being from a very different culture, you seem to have missed some key points of the video. The song is from the perspective of his girlfriend (played by the actual singer Aigel). In every interaction with the world on his way to his girlfriend he somehow owns everything. In a gopnik/thug way. He beats everyone who messes with him. He takes anything he likes (he never pays for anything). Everyone is afraid of him. But probably everyone he met called the police on him. That's why police catches up with him as soon as he arrives to his girlfriend. His journey was very cool but useless. He didn't achieve anything because all he cared about was dominating everyone and everything on his way.
And by the way, the two lesser thugs went to the elevator with him to rob him. That's a very well known method in Russia. You jump into the elevator with the victim at the last moment so that they cannot get away.
Long and boring explanation of the events in the video. It is all about "owning" everything. The song implies that he is in jail for over 5 years. And because he is a very hardcore thug, that might be not even his first sentence. So probably a lot of things he sees are new and unfamiliar to him. A lot of things he encounters belong to the new modern life outside. And he is a very old-fashioned thug.
He is released from jail. He takes a taxi Taxi driver annoys him with some folk music he dislikes, so he crashes the car and takes his money. But instead of arriving quickly he now takes a trip on foot through the city. See sees a girl vaping so he takes it from her and tries it. Then he gets behind the counter and tries some fancy beer. Then he goes to the skating pit. He likes it, he takes it. But he cannot skate so he dances in there instead. By the way he does not assault any of the almost naked girls. Which may be implying that it is against his thug code of honor because he has a girlfriend. He bumps into some guys because they didn't get out of his way. They follow him to teach him a lesson. Instead he beats them and takes their burger. Some guy on a skate with a smoke annoys him so he literally shoves that smoke up his ass. And takes his skateboard even though he still cannot skate. He drinks some vodka like water. He gets a classic criminal tattoo (he probably just adds another dome to that church as he is supposed to get one for every jail sentence). He sees some graffiti and owns it by putting his very childish picture over everything. He gets into a fancy barbershop and shaves a guy's head because gopniks disapprove of long hair. He takes money from two policemen. They don't do anything back because they are probably also afraid of him. He also takes a macaron. He pees in the middle of the street. He likes the cat, he pets the cat. He upgrades his Adidas suit to another one just like his. But cooler. He effortlessly owns some pullups while not even taking a cigarette out of his mouth. Two other gopniks attempt to rob him so he beats them too. And he finally arrives to his girlfriend who according to the song has been waiting for him all this time. But he can't enjoy his stay because we hear the police in the back and he knows he goes straight back to jail.
By the way, his girlfriend in the song is very vocal of how faithful she was to him. But she gets into so many specific details of what she didn't do and whom she did not meet that one might get suspicious if that is all really true. :)

It's sad, but there was no eng. subtitles for this video. So, u get the story right: whole story is sarcastic, caricature of prisoner gopnik culture, who released from prison and he didn't got the lesson, continuing his criminal way of life and was caught again, when he came to his girlfriend. Lyrics of the song also tells about this guy from his gf perspective: she's calling him "Tatarin", in terms of Tatar nationality, and describes how hard he's and that everyone better not mess with him. Oh, and it wasn't actually advertise of "Sale" chips in the video, it's just a reference to Lays chips, looking at logo, i thought u would get it.
I wouldn't be so sure there was no product placement for Lays. Russian cinema id notorious for aggressive product placements. Otherwise, good description, I agree.
Yeah, it might be veiled advertisement. I also noticed referense to Black Star label in scene with bearded guy with friends eating burger in black gloves(it shows image of Timati, who was founded this brand, and his fans imitating him), and finally this guy's T-shirt has inscription "Black Star Tattoo", which directly confirms it.
Sale brand of chips doesn't exist :) it's a reference to Lay's.
