Nicolas Hoult is R, a young man facing the existential crisis that comes with being a zombie. Grunting his way through a post-apocalyptic America with the mindless hunger of the undead, R has no memories, but he has dreams and his inner life is full of wonder and longing for the time that must have gone before.
When the memories in one of his victim's brains affect him, he finds himself attracted to, rescuing, befriending and eventually falling in love with the dead boy's still living-girlfriend. Julie (Australia's own Teresa Palmer) is a blast of colour in the dreary and grey landscape that is the "life" of the un-living. Their tense, awkward and strangely sweet relationship develops into something that will not only transform R, but his fellow zombies and possibly their entire lifeless world.
Scary, funny and surprisingly poignant, WARM BODIES proves that love makes us all human.
I think he was perfect for the role, He really nails the acting and just makes the whole thing work, I love it.

It's cool to learn behind the scenes of the effort and time put into a film to make it extra special.
I think the scars for me helped build "R's" Character and while we can be relieved by R's human transformation.
So when R was human again without any blemish, I did miss those iconic face scars that made him who he was in the "Warm Bodies," story. 🖌📽

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! Very original and wonderful story, I was hooked from start to finish! ( and I have seen it about... um... maybe 8 times now...) Yes, I am a diehard fan of Resident Evil, but this movie really takes the image of a zombie to a whole and not too impossible level... I mean, why shouldn't a not-too-far-off-gone zombie be able to "reverse" himself/herself? The whole story and movie was all brilliantly put together!!!
The books better. Get the book and the prequel.

i love this im obsessed with these kinds of artsy side of makeup. I loved this movie too i havent seen a zombie love story is awhile. Nicholas for some reason reminds me a tad of andy biersack... probably just the eyes but eh. i bet this would have been a fun exsperience being an extra on set.

It was shot in Montreal. If you look at the pannels, they are written in french and i recognized the airport as well as the old olympic stadium.
