As a Palestinian , I wanted to say that this movie is a great one. It describes both sides and what actually happened, and it's not biased. Probably one of the most amazing movies I've ever watched.

This film truly outshines most films made today. This really shows you that you don’t need millions in cash or a big studio to make a timeless film.

Watching this film crushed my soul a little. Why can't we live in peace, to much death and sorrow ill never sleep comfortable at night knowing stuff like this still happens all over the world. Games like COD/Battlefield prepares the next generation for war which is sad but true.

According to Robert Fisk in his book "The Great War for Civilisation: The Conquest of the Middle East", pp.484,488-489, Israeli defence minister at that time Ariel Sharon and Chief of Staff Rafael Eitan met with the Lebanese Phalangist militia units, inviting them to enter the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps and telling them the PLO fighters were responsible for the assassination of their leader Bashir Gemayel. This is the core information that was neglected/distorted in this movie.

I don't think so... As I remember he left it open... It is not a documentary it is just one person point of view. As an Israeli I do not know the true... For us I guess the army could have stooped the massacre but he did not! That is a part of the war a lot of Israelis want to forget! On the other hand shooting and killing of Israeli Civilians lead to this war.. This is what I call bad karma...

This film is simply meant to show the perspective of the individual ground troops. You’ll notice it never makes any grand political statements beyond the universally agreeable “War is hell”.

Show what happens to people during and after war and the effect on their lives!

@Diala80 Ah, I think I jumped the gun a bit in my response to you. Sorry !. I do think however that the movie portrays very accurately the Israeli view of what happened at Sabra and Shaltila, and the director/narrator was actually there. Perhaps Fisk is right in his assertions, perhaps he is wrong. Peace.

@Diala80 Re: "....core information...." You are speaking about a WAR in Libnan which was going on for several years before Israeli involvement ( internecine violence between religion, families, and clans, for CENTURIES , if you really know about the area). Very one sided view on your part about something which is deeply complex. Blaming Israel is very popular nowadays...and sometimes rightly...but the mess in Lebanon is of much larger history than our own lifetime..

the worst is, that CoD is played by kids as young as 13 years.
ok, i admit that i have played counterstrike a lot when i was this age. but CoD is just far mor evolved- it has a major propaganda-value AND glorifies war.

All of you are talking about religions, politics etc...i like the animation style, conflict in this world about religions will never end, because politics are involved, and religions are rules set by human like you and me to control your mind, God exist but dont be religious, that what is killing this beautiful planet, ppl believe their religion is better than others and want other to practice their, jst believe in your own religion and leave other ppl man, let God punish himself because the judgement day will still come...Christianity is not a religion, Jesus Christ himself was killed by religious ppl, so if you think whatever religion you are in is great then, go for it, thats it! I know islam is religion of peace, but my bro and sisters who are muslims, not everyone out there who's not a muslim is automatically a christian, there are so many faith out there, so stop targeting everyone beside muslim is a christian, what about indu? what about buddah ect...so lets all of us be free and God Himself will judge.

@mozo73 My comment is not about "blaming" but rather about providing a correct picture of the massacren. The story is told by a former Israeli soldier who inquired about the "Truth" then produced the movie. The real photos from the massacre add a documentary nature to thr movie, hence the need for accuracy. I never said that Israel was, alone, responsible for the civil war in Lebanon (!), but it did play a core role in the massacre. The movie blames mainly the Lebanese for it.

Exactly. COD 1&2 were excellent games, COD4 was quite the recruitment game, MW2 is worse, black ops is hardcore propaganda, and Operation Flashpoint Red River is the worst propaganda I've ever played.
In terms of gameplay and storyline, I find Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising way more realistic than red river and all the new MW shit.

oh yes it is biased - as well as feeding into your victimhood mentality! Where was the balance? - perhaps the film should have pointed out that so-called Palestinian freedom fighters butchered hundreds of christians in the town of Damour (just south of Beirut) in the days leading up to this massacre.
