Could you imagine someone like Mel Gibson doing this movie?
Excellant ending.Must have been like the worst smell and noise of dead and dying soldiers and horses afterwards?

My late Father was a model maker and painted my Airfix and Btritains soldiers for me as a child with great precision. I have kept many but loved playing with them so, they are all mixed up in odd boxes. My fun was setting them out, historically as you can at between 5 and 12years ! and latterly shooting them down in turns using canon that fired matchsticks or lead shells. I also pinged elastic bands and often built conning towers out of dominoes. But it was the Napoleonic games I loved most

Excellent work, many late hours...hahaha...I did one about 3'x4' of viet nam I had the rice paddies hundreds of American and Viet cong hand painted 1/72 figures. I had put about 4 months of work into my project off and on time. Came home one night after working evening shift and I always liked to look in and take a peak. Well one night I looked in and had to take a double look, it had been destroyed, all of the flying helicoptors were knocked down trees broke .... all because of a jealous wife

Generally speaking, 1:72 is called 20mm (measured from foot to eye.) But it's open to interpretation. In theory, 6' people represented as 25.4mm tall (foot to tope of head) are precisely 1:72. Therefore, less well nourished 19th century people, measuring 20mm from foot to eye, (and 22/23mm in total height) are about right for 1:72. As long as you don't mix & match 20s/25s/28s within the same units, it's not too noticeable though.

I agree with the others very cool! You might wanna put in some panning shots or overhead sweeps or larger shots of the overall battlefield...it looks like you went for a lot of closeups to show off all your hard work but it would be nice to have a better overall picture of what and where things are happening...do you ever play wargames with these miniatures? What did you think of the movie? Seems like they should do another one!

Some of the figures look like ITALERI 25mm plastic figures that I have used. I presently have some 1,700 painted of IALERI and HAT of Austrians, French, Russians, British, and Bavarians. I could not find any decent Prussian figures, except dragoons/cuirassiers, which I shall use for future Saxons along with some (French) infantry of 1780. I have about 500 more to paint. What does 1:72 translate into in millimeters? You have done a Superb Job, and I take my Bicorne off to you! Huzzah !
