Iskall, dashing into portals is glitched. I left this comment a long time ago on like episode 3
If you dash to exit a vault, you will end up at the coordinates the vault was at (So if you were in a vault and it was at 156000, 70, 23843, you would end up there in the overworld upon exit if you dash straight in)
please like so he can notice and fix :(
Report it on curseforge or if there is a specific vault hunters bugs page report it there. Iskall isn't likely to see it here, but the team can see it if you post it there.

Hmm. I always dash into the portal when exiting the vault ( the occasional times I bail ) and that doesn't happen to me. The bug might not be reproducible so it might be difficult to get fixed.
@@ziarite I dashed right when i hit the portal? or dashed and the dash ended right at the portal. Im not sure but in my old world, it just dropped me off at the coordinates the vault was at but in the overworld. Whatever, If i find it again i'll record it
Iskall, you can get clay by washing sand with Create! It's basically the same setup you were using to make glass, but with water instead of lava.
He already tried that a few episodes ago but because of 25% chance he said its not worth it
@@Skreperiukas I thought that he tried it another way to collect clay; using create mod and build a crusher setup to crush cobblestone into clay and sand and other things.

The reson why many of us want you to make it to 5 is because we don't want this series to end.
I think he is rushing a little bit as he wants to be finished for when VH 1.18 is out
There is still a shitton of things to do. Look at chosenarchitect. He post a couple times a week, alnost at episode 100 but not around pevel 150 and he still has a lot of things to do. Iskall just wants a jumpstart to get to the better part of the mod
It's only boosting until lvl. 100, after that point there is still so much to do. i'd say it's the start of mid game
if you're constantly disappointed by getting +attack speed then your players probably are too. Maybe you should adjust it so it's a bit higher so it's actually worth having?
Or remove it outright. You get enough attack speed from haste
I've been saying this for ages. No one has ever been happy to see attack speed and its sad.
I think the point of attack speed is to make the other attributes are rarer
@@NicolasMorus why ? to what end ? adding levels on good gear already requires finding good gear which is very rare early game. THEN having that gear roll terrible modifiers on top of already having random stats is just a punch in the stomach but things "must be rare"
it’s frustrating, basically changes nothing about the gear and actively makes rolling gear unfun

I gave the mod a try, and I am genuinely surprised. I actually thought I would hate playing it, but I don't, I am really enjoying it. And in your last video I said I would put it on 2x multiplier if I played, but now I am not so sure anymore. But one thing I feel the mod could use is a tutorial vault just so people can get the feel of running through this thing without sacrificing so much at the start. (It took me 8 hours before I was able to open my first vault (partly because I needed 2 wither skulls on my first one...)) I backed up my world before running a vault, and I was absolutely curb stomped my 3 first attempts. Had I not backed up my world and reloaded it every time I lost, I probably would have just quit. After I got the feel of the movement and how the vault works, I stopped savescumming. I am now level 22 or something, and it has been a blast. Oh, and on my first vault attempt, the very first gem I found was an echo gem, lmao (I didn't keep that though because I died, and I opened a backup to try again).
I agree, a tutorial vault would be really useful. I played as well and I died because my first vault was difficult and I didn't know how to really run a vault, but it was pretty fun either way

@@riskyrandom7493 that might help, but what I meant was like, A run to get used to running vaults and looting. I think maybe with no modifications and if you die you keep your stuff and maybe get a chance to keep trying till you get used to it

@@riskyrandom7493 Thing is, having watched Iskall play Vault Hunters doesn't actually "teach" you how to play the game. You certainly have the knowledge of where things might be, but when you run your first vault, you're gonna stumble and fall so easily. The very first vault I did, I even had Personal space and a bunch of other positive modifiers, but still it completely wrecked me because I didn't really know what I was doing, despite having watched Iskall play it for so long. All it took was 1 single poison from a witch, or falling into lava, or whatever. It took so little to just end it. And getting a 2nd try would take so long because I don't have much of a setup yet to get everything I would need easily. Like I said, I needed 2 wither skulls for my first run. I guess the other option could be is to simply reduce the effectiveness of poison from witches the first few levels.

Idea: make the modern builds mixed with mushrooms, like placing random mycelium blocks on the floor, mushrooms shooting out of the walls, some crumbling walls. Stuff like that

HC videos probably take a lot more of his time to make than a VH vid. Unless he's building something in VH that needs prep, he just jumps in and does stuff. In HC, there's a lot more behind the scenes going on, more interactions to edit, etc.
Thing is, HC early game requires a lot of dedicated time to do stuff, get settled, and stay in pace with the rest of the server. That's why he thinned out his VH upload when HC 9 started. Now that it is more consistently mid-game, He can focus more on his Modded series.

one change I would recommend is allow vault experience forever, but add soft caps that tank the amount you gain from running vaults, making burgers vital, but not necessarily required.

Hey iskall, recently got vault hunters. I might of found a glitch and I don't know if it's part of the mod that's broke or vault hunters. Vein mine a waystone and you'll get 2 which means infinite way stones.
I'm glad you've been uploading these videos fairly often, I enjoy watching yours and Wels playthroughs of VH because each is a different and unique yet fun and challenging experience
For the glass farm, the sand won’t despawn because each sand is on a timer. They don’t wait for the sand before to finish, the timer starts as soon as the sand is in the area.
Tears will be shed when Iskall decides to retire the flamingo chest plate.

If you wash sand with create, you can get clay balls, which you can press with a mechanical press and basin to get clay blocks. Those, of course, you can smelt with bulk blasting to get terracotta.
You can also grind that terracotta into red sand with a crushing wheel. If you wash red sand, you can get renewable gold nuggets.
With the cake hunt you should make it so that the game adds a marker of your location that says how far you are from the cake every time it tells you your distance to the cake.

On the subject of bulk blasting/smoking/washing with Create:
First: bulk blasting/smoking/washing DOES work if the fan is pulling air in instead of blowing it out. It just means you need to place your lava/campfire/water differently. It's worth experimenting a bit with it.
Second: You don't need to worry about the bulk blasting not keeping up with the rate that the sand is dropped in. It processes the items in parallel, not in sequence. In other words, it will always process as much as you can give it, no matter how much that is. Even if you put speed and stack upgrades in your importer and exporter, it would always keep up.
Bulk blasting, smoking, and washing is just that: it processes things *in bulk.* Kind of makes furnaces completely obsolete once you have them set up in your workshop somewhere, honestly.
Iskall is one with nature. He can eat anything, and have no stomach problems afterwards.
A little tip for create: you instantly pick up any create block with the wrench without consuming durability, and if you have space it will put it straight into your inventory!

Hi Iskall! I'm absolutely loving this series right now, so much so that I started playing VaultHunters myself (although I am slow and it takes me a very, very long time to progress). That being said, I'm also hoping you can get around to another Hermitcraft episode soon if you aren't too busy :D

a couple videos back, Iskall mentioned that he's focusing on Vault Hunters mostly through this summer, and would start doing more Hermitcraft later on. Between that, the passing of TFC, and people wanting to spend time with family, means many of the Hermits are limiting their time on the server for now.
In his last stream he mentioned that vault hunters takes a lot less time and planning compared to hermit craft and since he’s still on “vacation”, he’s staying away from it until I assume the fall

Such great content every time. I started watching hermit craft with one of Mumbos videos, then I watched a colab between you two, then I tried your pirate island single player world and have watched near all your content since. Thanks for being so reliable for a good time.
I will still advocate for you to lower the acceleration of xp, 4 levels for an incomplete cake vault. One marrathon might honestly put you up by 20 levels if you aren't careful, that's a lot of progression really fast and can lead to issues with scaling I imagine like the more difficult enemies and your equipment becoming quite outscaled with the vaults. This is also YOUR 3rd play though of the game you made, but it's also a lot of peoples first foray into VH
Love vault hunters, always a highlight to watch, not skipping ads for this hardworking man

also funny question: can you for no reason at all go and grab a penguin and bring it to your base in your next intro and dont mention anything about the penguin for the entirity of the episode, would make my day even better when you upload another episode, anyways time to watch

You can make clay balls, auto craft them, then heat blast them to farm terracotta. It's also a good building block for the style you are working with under ground so it's probably worth it
