@@xxxxyz1574 I would not disagree with you. I liked her from her first beats of my first viewing of "Thrill" more than 3 yrs ago - but I've liked her more and more as a musician and person as time has gone on.
I think Sai-chan's just keeping a BAND-MAID persona as the frontwoman. I saw a Japanese interview where she was trying to keep a serious tone but ended up breaking character for a second.

She was a dancer and back up singer in a backup band when Miku recruited her.
She does dance some as she sings. She is very graceful.
Saiki's ability on heels is amazing. How she manages a two hour show jumping and dancing in very high, thin heels is beyond words.

This is exactly what I thought BAND-MAID was going to sound like when CZcams first recommended them to me. That is why it took me a very long time to click on one of their videos.
I don't know how many times I rejected listening to them just because of their looks, but one day I was listening to rock on continuous recommendations and they came on with Thrill, I stopped what I was doing " who the hell is this " I said myself thinking it was some Rock from the 1980s I'd mist somehow. That was about 2 years ago, they are now my favourite band.

@@lesallison9047 That's exactly what happened to me. I left CZcams on autoplay by accident. I walked away from my laptop and I heard "Dice" playing -- with Misa's bass rift. I ran back to the room to see who it was. I was blown away. I watched more of their videos and thought to myself "they were put together by some production company and the company's army of song writers are writing their songs for them."
When I learned how Mika Noguchi was a cosplaying maid waitress, had a shot at pop music with Lil Cumin, changed her name to Miku Kobato, formed BAND-MAID, and they write their own songs -- I became an instant fan. I cannot stop listening to them.

Thrill got me hooked. I saw the thumbnail and when I saw Miku's Rickenbacker I figured it was gonna be some jingly jangly pop tune. I'm glad I was wrong. Then I thought they weren't really playing so I looked for live performance videos. Again, I'm glad I was wrong.
Sigh no matter how many times I see this it always makes me smile, ahhh the Maids to know them is to love them all the more 🤗

Yes, I think it’s true. There was lately a voice letter from Achan to fan-club members, saying that Saichan (Saiki) and Achan (Akane) have been making a silly kidding around combo since five years ago. And, it’s obvious this “Esper dance” was a fruit from it.
