  • 1. Fresco Fish and Chips - 201 Augusta Ave
This may be a Fish and Chips shop, but it also makes a perfect Poutine. People rave about this Kensington Market spot, and how fantastic it's chips are. Just add some gravy, and Quebec cheese curds, then let the magic happen.
    2. Leslieville Pumps - 929 Queen St E
First glance this looks like a regular gas station, but it also has great barbeque. From ribs to brisket. Fries to poutine, and everything in between. But putting brisket on Poutine? That is what makes this spot unique. If you see this gas station while driving, then PUMP the brakes, and grab yourself a Poutine.
    3. Great Burger Kitchen - 1056 Gerrard St E
From Burgers to Poutine, Great Burger Kitchen puts the best ingredients inside. Their burgers are made with natural raised beef, and their Poutine has the best curds you can find in the city.
    4. Nom Nom Nom Poutine - 707 Dundas St W
Nom Nom Nom Poutine is a mouthful and so is their Poutine. Generous portions that live up to it's name. This little shop has been rated best Poutine in the city on many occasions, and for good reason. They are delicious and affordable. You can even buy some cheese curds from the shop and bring it home with you. To me. That's a win win.
    4. Smoke's Poutinerie - 455 Spadina Ave
Smokes Poutinerie is a well known franchise that specializes in Poutine. They've been making Poutinein Toronto since 2008, and haven't stopped. They have more flavours and combinations then any other spot I can think of. I can't begin to tell you how many times Smokes saved me from a certain hangover, thanks to their calorie heavy poutines.
    6. 6 Burger Bar - 3 Chelwood Rd
This Scarborough shop has been noticed as being one of the most influential poutine spots in Toronto from BlogTo. Poutine with lots of variety. But made with care. This restaurant has a dedicated following that they earned by 6 Burger Bar consistently making fantastic Poutine.

If I ever get to Toronto this is one thing I would love to try probably just a bite of it but man That looks absolutely delicious. Did cheese curds melt or don’t they do they stay that way in little chunks I know I’m a bit of an idiot but I have to ask that question I was just wondering if they can be melted as well into the Poutine? I love that you took us on a journey to all these different places as well thank you so much wasn’t this a fun video.

No you cannot use cottage cheese. No. Absolutely not. Maybe you could ask a dairy for some curds? The restaurants will get them from a local dairy, they don't make their own.

I think the New York Fries chain has the best poutine. Better than any mom and pop spot I've had in Montreal too. They are always consistent and have good quality control. Fries are always fluffy and fresh, cheese curds nice and squeaky, sweet and fresh, gravy is perfect flavor and texture.
