These types of videos dont do much for teaching the art of pickpocketing, that takes experience, on the job training, and a dash of either desperation or criminal thinking. This video teaches you how to not get screwed. If you needed a video to learn that there are ways to take someones wallet you wont be good.

I heard a story on reddit that one person work in place when they use things that are simliar to batteries but they give out energy faster, they prank other coworkers by putting thease small things into their pocket so it shock them like fake bubblegum pranks you probably know.
so the OP said that once he didnt check his pockets when going out and when in metro someone tried to pickpocket him, but then he screamed and jumped back, he checked his pocket and noticed it had this thing (now decharged) and he realized it saved him from loosing his wallet :d

Another trick is they'll bump into you and make you think you've been pickpocketed, so you check to see if your wallet is still there, then they can tell by which pocket you check

One amazing way to pickpocket effectively is to focus on 2 items one item is the item that you are interested in and the other item is the item that will work as a distraction but it has to be interesting it self to the owner so you take both items at first when ever they are distracted if they notice something or suspect something missing you give them back the item number 2 and give a logical excuse like saying it was a magic trick or simply saying it fell on the floor now they won’t suspect of you no more, this actually something I be doing at my school with pencils or stuff like that and I came up with this on my own or at least I haven’t heard no one else talk about it also this one time I noticed this girl had money on her phone case on an opportunity I took her phone and she of course noticed me so I ran and while doing that she forgot of the money I gave her back the phone saying I was just playing and she didn’t notice the money gone so I got some easy money

I was familiar with the 3 person robbery.
1 distracts, 1 Keeps look out, and the 3rd is the actual pickpocket that steals.

Ok the easiest way to not get pickpocketed is if your wearing a coat sometimes they have pockets inside it. Just put your wallet in there!

That's good practice. Of course so many people carry their phones hanging out its surprising people's phones don't get lifted more!

Also common; first one warns you about pickpockets, you tab the places with valuable stuff to check if it's still there, and later with above mentioned tactics, they'll get it.

I have friends who got pickpocketed via the motorcycle rush steal method. Thaat style is also dangerous since good chance youll be skidding on the ground if you dont let your stuff go immediately 8'C .
Listen, I love The Infographics Show but I just can't get used to this guy's voice. There's just something about it that makes me feel like it's an outside party dubbing it, it feel inauthentic in a way. If you're pocket is small enough for the wallet to be visible I'm pretty sure you would feel it getting removed lol it's a semi struggle to fit my hand in 90% of my jeans' pockets
My grandad once had his wallet in the inside front pocket of his coat... pretty safe right? When he wanted to buy something he realised the back of his coat had been cut open and the wallet taken out and all that must have been while they were walking.
Nowadays millennials and city people wear tighter pants, so this technique won't be living too much longer.

I had a pair of pickpockets once try to mark me. I beat his buddy up so bad and so fast his partner ran away as fast as he could. I caught him so unaware he wasn't even able to get his hands up to defend himself. I didn't stop either, I had to be pulled off of him. I beat him so badly I had to slip away myself, I was scared I might be thrown in jail. To this day, I still feel I was 100% justified in what I did. I still have a couple visible scars on my hands from hitting him in the mouth so many times. The best part? All I had on me was enough change to catch a bus, they tried to mark me at the downtown bus hub. So dude got his face caved in over $1.75.
