Finally someone who knows! Some therians can believe in past lives an have a past life but that doesn't mean your a therian. Although I'm a therian with a past life does NOT mean that past lives is what therianthropy is about.

I don’t believe you can “identify” as an animal. And yes it is possible for someone to believe they had a past life as an animal AND feel spiritually be connected, that is also therian. There’s different types of therians, and not just one set definition. But it isn’t suddenly identifying as one because you act like a dog or a cat “involuntarily.” It’s usually something like an awakening from what I have heard. Not something you pick and chose, or identify yourself as.

@Kittylynx101 I still see it as a good concept, but even as an anti fur, I do think this is probably going to be a government over reach in its current state simply because it is difficult to define and many of the things that should probably be kept already fall under existing school policies, such as animal noises mid class falling under class disruption.

They're saying that someone who claims to be non-human, and acts _like a human_ will get animal control called.

I don't know very much about laws in the US seeing I'm European, but I'm around 90% sure this is unconstitutional, but we're at the point where half the policies break the constitution in the US, pretty dumb stuff.
It's just a bill, so it has to be voted on and signed into law by the governor. It's also, at least to me, a shameful violation of the first amendment and the Supreme Court can strike this law down if it does get passed.

no politician ever has been arrested for violating the constitution. your best bet is the bill never passes or Oklahoma courts deeming it unconstitutional, which seems like a guarantee this law is so silly.

I think animal control has better things to do than take a kid wearing animal ears or drawing their fursona. I mean that time could be spent preventing the mass euthanizing of 1000s of healthy and safe shelter animals or investigating actual animal cruelty cases but I digress 😬

Therians are people who identify as animals on a non physical level due to involuntary animalistic experiences. I personally am one, and you would never know if I was one because I am a normal human and do normal human activities. ❤ I hope this helped you understand the community. :)

I’m not a therian, I’m a furry but even therians don’t act like how they’re portrayed, for starters being a therian is not a fetish, it’s an involuntary identity. Also a lot of ppl think that therians use litter boxes, eat dog/cat food etc which is so wildly incorrect, like I said I’m not a therian but ik that the community is a very welcoming place that unfortunately gets a lot of hate tied to misconceptions abt both them and us furries :/
They don't even bother to recognize that there is a difference. Ya gotta understand, They don't care if you're a "normal chill person" they care if they can use you as a talking point to get more people scared and vote for them. It's not about furries, it's about misunderstood people that are already hated. It's a slippery slope, even if it was "just for therians" too many would abuse it against other groups. The laws protecting your right to be a furry are the same as the ones allowing therians to express themselves, or LGBT people, or religious folks, or allowing ANY of us to exist on this platform or in public.

As simply a furry myself, The thing I hate the most about this is the fact that I wasn’t even shocked, I was just disappointed and expected it.
Also, There is no “point” to be proven when your practically saying “you’re below me, scum” after sending someone to the pound, like you said that’s so dehumanizing that it’s not even funny anymore.
So I don’t know, Where is that line drawn where having fun is weird? Because that’s all it is, at least to me it is. I just like to have fun making little anthropomorphic creatures. (The only reason I’m considered a furry is the fact that I have anthropomorphic animal avatars on roblox.)
