This song touched me so deeply. I lost my Dad to suicide and this tribute Ren wrote for his friend hits home and heart.

Ren might be one of the best artists of our time. To bear witness to this is such an honor. And since I discovered him I think about him every single day.

Quite literally, rather than simply the usual gobblygook puttering around in my head, I find instead myself humming along to one of the many beloved songs with which Ren has graced me. ᕱ⑅ᕱ
Same, dude. I couldn't tell you what Ren has done for me. I lost my 17 year old son to suicide in 2018. In 2020 I developed a tick disease called Alpha Gal Syndrome....listening to Ren is the only way that I can feel understood at all, by anyone. I am able to let down my defenses and cry, when I need to, listening to certain songs. This is one. Idk what I'd do without Ren's music at this point.

Another good reaction Johnnie. Normally I don't comment. I came to your channel through your first Ren reaction and stayed. Grumpy old man here with no real problems with life and the world ( thankfully ), unlike others who suffer unfortunately and my sincere thoughts are with all those who are on their own road to the best version of themselves. I just wanted to say thank you for my regular fix of positivity.

They really do sound amazing together. So much talent. Really loved the one you did a few days ago where they did Marcin Gaye's Sexual Healing. If you haven't heard any yet, I'd recommend trying Ren's band The Big Push, especially their I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop mix. Phenomenal.

PTSD
She flinchs at the knock of a door
She screams & cries till she can't no more,
She can't go out on her own
Too afraid of being alone.
The memories they haunt her dreams
It's happening again that's how it seems,
A little girl alone and weak
The help she needs she didn't seek.
That little girl all alone
Before she knew it she was fully grown
With issues that followed all her life
Shes had to put up this awful fight
The fight to get though another day
To find her path to find her way
To find the strength she desperately needs
She hopes in life to one day succeed
For the memories to stop replaying over
From this nightmare she wants to be sober
Clinging to hope with every turn
From her choices will she ever learn
That she is stronger than she believes

I feel this! As a survivor who’s PTSD has now caused me to have 2 strokes the first in 2016 at only 43 the last one just the 14th of this month and still recovering. Take care out there.
@@pennytipp I'm so sorry to hear this! The stress we are put under is unbelievable, my PTSD was cause at the age of 8 years old and I had absolutely no control over it yet still to this day I blame myself it's crazy, all the best for you to have a speedy recovery 🙏

Amen brother- we should all get down on our knees and cry out to God once in a while. He wants us to approach his throne boldly. Another beautifully haunting song from my now top 2 artists as well as every member of the big push and Sam Tomkins and any of his collaborators who are all amazing. Ren is just amazing surrounding himself with other amazing artists and he and they just inspire me every single day to be creative myself and use that creativity as therapy.
