1974 was a year of high achievement for Queen. They had their first two hit singles, “Seven Seas Of Rhye” and “Killer Queen,” released two albums, “Queen II” and “Sheer Heart Attack,” and completed major tours across the UK, America and Europe. In the UK they performed three sold-out shows at the legendary Rainbow Theatre in London’s Finsbury Park, one in March on the “Queen II” tour and two in November following the release of “Sheer Heart Attack”. To mark the 40th Anniversary of these shows, fans can finally enjoy Queen “Live At The Rainbow ‘74”, lovingly restored, re-edited, mixed and digitally mastered and including much previously unseen footage. The main show is from November with, as a bonus, the only surviving footage from the March show. This is Queen dazzling their audience with an unforgettable show delivered with a skill and confidence which belied their youth.

@@im2q - Did you ever see them live? I heard them live and his mic was NOT turned off or down. I'm so tired of that rumor. He didn't sing much but did some back up if it didn't require big technical skill. He sometimes shared a mic with Freddie too.
🙋🏾♀️ Susie Q...Yes! Deacury WAS real onstage whenever they'd shared the Mic together! Deacy was the ONLY one who didn't think he'd had a nice sounding voice. The rest of the band WANTED him to sing but his shyness prevented him. Mother Mercury tried (& succeeded at times) getting Deacy to sing live with him onstage.

The Rainbow is really close to where I live, Its now a church but was derelict for some time before they purchased it. Me and my friends managed to get in there one day some time in the eighties after a door was left open and stood on that stage and pretended to jam, that stage has graced some of the greatest musicians to have ever lived, I still cherish that moment as if I had actually played there.

I bought 2 tickets to see this new rock guy Called Billy Squier at the Boston Garden in 1980. Billy was the backup band for a group I never heard of before they were Called Queen.After Squier was done I looked at my buddy and said, want to go home now? He said, we paid for the tickets so let's watch a couple songs and see if there any good. Omg thank God we did cuz I was blown away. Been a fan ever since.
