That's why Kikuno kept looking at the ref, expecting him to stop the fight sooner.
He only landed 2 soft punches because the ref was too slow to declare the match over.

The two guys in the main event Kikuno and Omigawa both fought in Pride/Dream (the ex-japanese UFC) and Kikuno fought quite a few fights in the UFC. (he went 3-3) Omigawa fought in Pride/Dream/Sengoku and UFC.
These two are high level whether you believe it or not.

The difference should be, they do not commit to one mix (mma) instead representing their unique styles against each other.
@@manolo21B They clearly are all fighting with a mixed martial arts style, thats is one compsed of more than one martial art; most of them have little to no ground game. Any mixed martial arts fighter is going to have thier own style anyway that is based upon what works for thier skills and body type, and if you are a jack of all trades equally good at everything you will likely lose a lot so every fighter is oging to have something they work on more than everything else and put it into thier gameplan; that becomes thier fighting style. It's silly to pretend that what these guys are doing is very mcuh different.

disappointed with Shouma's and Brian's match. The ref shouldn't have called that off. Been watching quite a lot of matches from Ganryujima and was going like "please don't call it off, please don't call it offffff!"... and the ref called it off... :/

Looks like a nice Mixed Martial Arts, but I think it is very unfair to the judo and jujitsu guys, because of the15 sec's only time limits on them. It should be 60+ sec's, so they can have time to use their holds & locks. Other then that, it's just another stand up only fight game with a uniform on.
As soon as Brian Douwes walked out looking like Krillin I knew he was going to get his ass beat. Then Shouma Sivixay came out looking like Vegeta and I thought "oh shit! Krillin gonna die!"

True. But to me this is a lot more interesting since there’s greater discrepancies between the styles. MMA as a style is incredibly boring, but as a concept it is exciting.

ground wrestling and grappling is exciting to watch when done well but I think what makes it boring in most ufc/mma fights, at least boring nowadays is when fighters just lay there resting on each other using it as a chance to rest. I've seen entire matches when they go to the ground and just sit there, occasionally switching positions when they feel the other guy move only to be forced to stand up and watch them waddle around from exhaustion. claiming someone doesn't know how to fight because they think ground fighting can be boring is stupid , I'm %100 percent sure everyone in the comments section including myself have never been in an official let alone an amateur fight in their entire lives.
Go watch something else why dispense your negativity out in the world. You don't like something then move on. You don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all.

Lot's of keyboard warriors in the comments. I like the 15 second ground rule. If you've ever seen street fights, when the two go to the ground the people around them will pick them up almost immediately. This rule represents that pretty well.
