- We met up with the crew from Seakeeper RIDE at the Seattle Boat Show for an in-depth demonstration of this amazing new vessel attitude control system. Unlike traditional static trim tab systems, the Seakeeper RIDE system works autonomously in the background, continuously making minute adjustments to the vessels pitch and roll as needed.

Man looks like those motors and gears would wear out quite quickly. Wonder the estimated life span of these.
@@Andrico77 I’m running them now and will find out 👍
Hey Rob, that is a cool system. How is it fastened to a fibreglass hull and is there any chance of fatigue where it attaches to a fibreglass hull?
I was skeptical at first but it worked great! It’s glued onto the hull so no need to pierce the hull to install it.
Capt. Morgan hit his calling. 😂
👍🤣
Can it work on a 26’ Yamaha Jet with a different controller since it seems the Yamaha platform doesn’t love add-in technology to the harness.
If the gauge is a multi function display that supports NMEA 2000 I imagine it would work. Definitely a question for the Seakeeper folks though.
Hey Rob - think this would work on an aluminum hull?
For sure! They’ve got them on aluminum boats already 👍
@@live2boatThat’s awesome! Lot of those Al boat builders use Zipwake it seems - you think this is better? Heard it works together if you have a gyro too!
@@jayparrish3935 No doubt! I see the Zip Wakes all over. Could be that the RIDE system is finally making its way over here. We’ll be seeing them on boats here in the PAC NW soon, so we’ll get some feedback. So far the Florida guys like this system.
What's the affect on fuel economy?
Apparently it can be as high as 8-10%
@@live2boat8-10% more fuel used?
@@mmagscott 8-10 percent fuel savings
I see 10 million dollar boats, but the only Seakeeper videos on CZcams are all by the Seakeeper company. Anyone know of actual use by non demo boats?
