Welcome back to Life On The Farm! As promised I have returned to the car jump where I built a huge dirt jump for my Ariel Nomad road car, as I've always wanted to properly jump a car. The Ariel Nomad has 300bhp, Ohlins suspension and is so insane off road. So we built a brand new tabletop with the digger and finally jumped this beast! Enjoy the action, because it's made a perfect pit bike dirt jump too for pit bike races.

Its always a good day when Sam and Matt upload to youtube! Just been out for a ride for the firt time in 1 1/2 years due to a shoulder injury, and have got back to the lovely sight of two youtube vids to watch 😌
yeah its so funny, i put Sam pilgrim video, said uploaded 53min ago, my 2 first suggested videos on the right were Matt and Sam Reynolds, both said 53minutes ago ! how in hell do all 3 end uploading their videos at the exact same minute ?! My sundays are better cause thanks to these 3.
@@stanleykubik1778 youtubers know the best time to post their videos during the day. You can also program in advance at what hour your video will come out. They all chose the same hour.

Honestly, between watching yours and Bro Jono's vids I end up laughing with you guys so much. Neither of you ever stop talking or giggling, but thats adds to the enertainment. You need to invite Mat Armstrong down to the skatepark !
The spare wheel is far above the center of gravity. The momentum and inertia of this lump of mass contributes greatly in tilting the Nomad forwards and makes it want to nose dive. You can remove the spare wheel to have better landing angles for longer, flatter jumps.

Move both jumps towards the van the build a giant burm out of wood then finish off with mesh n mud mesh is to help mud stick then after burm there is a little run up to keep speed and adjust speed and mud the whole track out so no grass to slide on and maybe some twin duro tyres 60% off road 40% on road so you can go on and off when ever you like

You guys should build a full nomad track, like with the two jumps but also a nice straight with a hairpin and a chicane or 2!
With your now digger and dumper, you could dig down a bit and make a berm kinda below ground 🤔

Hey Matt, there's a guy named Andrew comrada if you search him on CZcams he'll come up he lives in New York and owns a massive excavation type company that does everything. He has a mini excavator like you and he's lost his track numerously and he has many videos in detail that show you how to put it back on also he has many videos that will show you how to maintain that equipment. I would recommend that you send him a request of your own and he has some excellent videos they're really fun to watch I highly recommend him Andrew camerata that's how the spelling is right there ignore the first one. Done a great submarine when I flipped a car into the mud with a five pt harness. The mud immediately stopped the car and broke the roll cage. My bits did indeed need a trip to the doctor for inspection.

The world needs a new Ken block
You could possibly already have Anti submarine harnesses already in the nomad. They are a loop back on itself like an S just below the shoulder on one side of your harness. In the event of a crash it will tear the stitching and lengthen one strap a couple inches, which then twists you a fraction to stop you slipping out underneath. Have a look at that before purchasing needlessly. Could save you a few quid.

I have heard that submarining mainly happens when you dont tighten your hip belt enough. I have heard if you first tighten your hip belt good and than put the shoulder ones on, it greatly reduces the chance.

an idea for your pit bike is to take put a mtb shock on it, works much better, klx 110’s have very stiff shocks and using a mtb shock makes it so much better in many ways

You guys should dig down in the middle of the jumps (~1 meter wide) so that the pit bikes go through that trough and have a shorter, kickier jump and the nomad still has its wheels on the outside edges of the jump.

When you are using a berm to turn you have to dig the front tire in the middle of the berm and try to not go over the top then if you have managed to do that then accelerate when you are half way through the berm
