  • About Our Gypsum Products
All our products are innovative and set a significant difference from other products in the market. We exclusively supply advanced materials. Gypsum has five grades: POP, Gypsum Powder, Gypsum Plaster, HD Grade, MR Grade, and HD MR Grade. Each grade varies in density and chemical composition, with CaSO4 (Calcium Sulfate) determining the quality and purity of the gypsum material. 100% CaSO4 signifies pure gypsum, while below 60% CaSO4 is categorized as gypsum powder with a density of 400-500 kg/m³. Gypsum plastering grade contains over 70% CaSO4 with 30% impurities like Magnesium Oxide and Iron Oxide, affecting its purity and color.
In Kerala, India, we initially received POP-based gypsum used for various applications including gypsum board manufacturing, statues, putty, and cement manufacturing. In cement, gypsum is used under the name clinker, with 2-3% added to coat cement particles and interfere with their hydration process. Historically, gypsum was used for construction before cement. While cement shows strong initial strength, it loses strength over time. In contrast, gypsum gains bonding strength and its density doubles over time.
The color of gypsum can indicate its purity; lower-quality gypsum appears ivory and affects whiteness. For example, gypsum imported from Oman has more Magnesium Oxide and produces ivory-colored gypsum with lower density and purity. Similarly, gypsum from Saudi Arabia contains 70% CaSO4 but has higher Aluminum Oxide content, resulting in ash-colored gypsum. Natural gypsum typically appears dim or ash-colored.
Our HD MR Gypsum product boasts a density of 900-1100 kg/m³ and a purity of 96%. Each bag clearly mentions the manufacture and expiry dates, along with the chemical composition. Unlike other gypsum materials, our HD MR product offers transparency in its labeling. Natural gypsum has a usage period of 6 months from the manufacturing date, whereas our gypsum remains effective for 24 months.
The manufacturing process involves mining gypsum rock and heating it to 190-260°C to remove moisture. It is then crushed and meshed in an airflow system with mesh ranges of 100, 150, 200, and 200+ minute material. Our HD MR Gypsum, with a mesh range of 200+, is softer and provides better coverage. Gypsum can be heated up to 1000°C, and one-inch thick gypsum board can withstand this heat, while cement typically fails at 200°C.
We are proud to be the only supplier in India with HD MR Grade Gypsum, holding certifications from the Government of India, Delta Water Absorption, and Pull-Out tests. Our competitor, Gyprog, has 38% moisture content, whereas our HD MR Gypsum maintains a lower 36% moisture content. Transparency is ensured as all our HD MR Gypsum bags contain expiry dates, manufacture dates, and technical specifications, making it easy for customers to verify.
Our gypsum is imported directly from Iran to Dubai (Jebel Ali Port), then to Colombo Port, and finally to Chennai or Cochin port based on requirements. The transportation takes 45 days, ensuring that the material can be used effectively for the remaining 22.5 months.
By choosing our HD MR Gypsum products, you are assured of superior quality, higher purity, and better performance, all backed by rigorous testing and transparent labeling.
