Did we miss any rescues? 🤔
Can you do a Karen on bondi complication
Hoppo rescuing about 6 people at once and not even having to paddle once on the way back in
I have a question Bondi rescue
I don’t think
@@Jazzywazzy-luvs yes y they did
Terry's story about his son is heart-wrenching. Amazing he's chosen to save other parents from that unimaginable pain
Right the story made me cry 🥺& the brother when he told his little sister that sometimes told she can’t always follow him bc he’s bigger
Soo sad😢😢😢😔😔😔
😭 RIP
@@bear9055 Brother was trying to shift the blame, he shoulda watched out for his sister
It's a pain I wouldn't wish on anyone. I lost a daughter 4-1/2 years ago. I live in the USA and feel my daughter is cheering me on to start a Search and Recovery Dive Group to help loved ones who have gone missing with their cars. My daughter was in her car, but not in water. If you've never heard of these groups, search Samantha Hopper and Courtney Holt. Mother and daughter were missing 23 years when their car was found in water.
As they were leaving, the two deaf girls flashed the “I love you” sign (🤟🏼) back at their rescuers.
They were very appreciative.
The taller of the two also signed 'thank you' at the end of the interview (?)
@@mav4538 yeah
Yeah they said thank you lifeguards should learn sign language. Like general sign when to come in because it was dangerous.
Their poor grandmother was trying to help and didn’t know how to get help for them. It’s one of the ones that always makes my heart jump into my mouth because you know how much they care for each other and thankful they were to be reunited. They must have been so scared but they knew how to call for help
👹666th like ⌛️
⌛️8/28/22 11:22pm 👹
Their talent and ability to read these situations is nothing short of incredible .
Couldn't have said it better 🥲
The fact that Terry spends his life making sure that no other parents have to endure the pain of the loss of a child like he did is so remarkable.
I hate that it´s always the good people who get such a horrible fate.
Cancer is a b*tch!
Rest in peace Terry.
@@NezumiEfeu thythiss
The little girls polite little "thank you" at 9:27 😭😭😭 nobody else even noticed her, thank the gods the lifeguards are so good at their jobs.
8:44
The story of the fifth girl always brings tears to my eyes.
The girl's words of 'thank you' will probably never be forgotten in his mind.
Girl, he saved you, but you helped him too.
Sadly terry has died
Yeah as soon as she's upright, has cleared her throat and could breathe, she said one of the politest "thank yous" I've ever heard! 🙂
You know it's bad when the swimmer has their fringe in their eyes and they can't do anything about it.
The deaf girls I feel so heartbroken for the grandmother my heart goes out to her how scary that must have been
I would probably be numb and paralyzed with fear in such situation. I live in place where I don't speak the language well and I worry about emergency situations like this a lot because of it.
This is precisely why I think sign language should be taught in schools 😭
True ey.
Terry was such an amazing lifeguard.
Rest In Peace to this legend 💙 thank you for the 30+ years saving lives.
So sad, thank you Terry
Uhm
WHAT HE DIED ?
@@thephouse6447 Cancer.
I've ALWAYS said how important sign language is to learn. Truly it's so damn important man. School shootings, these situations, etc. So many of us and our babies could benefit from it if we all just knew how to communicate with sign.
I'm so sorry about your son I couldn't imagine the pain. Ever.
Is ASL alphabet the same in Australia?
@@carriebaker5161 Australian sign is very different. Would be cool to learn it too though.
@@lmjesuschrist7450 I just looked up the Australian sign language alphabet. It's a lot different than the ASL version.
Yeah, sign languages are different all over the world.
We taught our granddaughter sign language from an infant. So important for so many reasons these days.
The Korean chaperone was pretty awesome. “I told you between the flags, this is too far!” It’s great to see people care for each other
True.
wow. that last clip is incredibly powerful. i mean you could see the human body trying to save itself, the tongue flipping, the arm spasming. that man was so inconceivably close to dieing. incredibly lucky.
RIP Terry. The amount of lives he saved.. a true hero and legend. Now he can be reunited with his little Angel 😇
You lifeguards are heroes in my book. Your cooperative team work is remarkable and commendable. Jesse, you're special! ❤
I want to meet you some day too...if I live long enough, Jesse. Big hugs.
Jesse isn't there anymore he quit a few years ago as far as I'm aware
Thanks Ken 💙
@@Sorikee I hope he is employed in activity he enjoys. Is there any way of getting in touch with him?
@@KenWAnderson Haven't a clue tbh I just know he's not there from watching the seasons and a mini series he did with Maxi
That little girl brought me to tears when she first said thank you!! Bless your hearts and I'm so very sorry about the passing of your son!! May he RIP!!❤🇨🇦❤🇨🇦❤
I saw this when it first came out, and commented on how I bawled when Terry was talking about losing his 1 week old son...I could see something deeply determined in his face during that rescue, and I'm pretty sure he was thinking about how her parents are going to feel if he doesn't save her. I lost one of my teenage twin sons Sept 1, 2021 and know the heartache of a loss that could not be expected or imagined, with no fault of yours or theirs.
Now this came up in the lineup, and we've lost Terry just 5 months after this video posted. The segment with Terry made me bawl again this afternoon. I told my spirit son when Terry transitioned last week, to find that lifeguard and tell him how much he and his mates helped his mom...me... get through this last year without him on earth, and please tell Terry thank you, from me. I'm sure he already has, and more than likely has thanked him for himself, for helping keep me from losing it completely on this journey no parent wants to take. Our loved ones who have transitioned into spirit again don't want us to stay sad forever, and that is what keeps me going. I hope that keeps Mrs. Terry too. I cannot imagine losing your newborn, and then later your husband.
If any of the lifeguards happen to read this, let Terry's wife know I've been sending Love and Light her way, please. To all of you, in fact. Please tell them if any of you read this.
so sorry for your loss, you left a beautiful message, god bless you 🙏🏽❤️🇳🇿
@@nikkimclay5474 ..thank you. God bless you, too.
@@TheJudiBambiPurrsParadox i sadly have to say that terry has passed away battling cancer and he won’t be forgotten
@@-cleoleo-3035 ...I know. I said it in my comment. Several times. Not sure why you repeated what I already stated several times.
the reviving of tucker is one of the most emotional scenes ive seen from bondi recue, these men are guardian angels my goodness. they literally brang him back to life after being dead for 5 minutes !!
i think his name is taka hira not tucker 😅
His name is taka hiro.. the Asian face and accent should be a clue there.
@@joyriggs Not only do some people who look Asian have "non Asian" names, if you're not used to an Australian accent or don't use English as a first language, it may SOUND like Tucker to them.
If you're not American, you sure would fit in with that attitude.
Why you gotta hate on Americans like that?
@@bryce-rf9kv because america makes war and pretends to be a 1st world country
I’ve watched that clip of Terry saving that little girl 100s of times by now and I still get choked up every time he tells his story about losing his son! I just want to give him a hug every time I hear that!
He has died of cancer
Terrys story about his son immediately made me burst into tears. What an amazing man to be saving lives.
Jethro’s face as he was paddling out just showed how much he deserves to be a lifeguard. He put his entire self into that paddle. He’s a gem. They’re all literal heroes.
The little girl that terry rescued was so sweet. The first thing she said to him was thank you!
The deaf girls one always brings a tear to my eye. They're are a couple of very brave little sweethearts!
Terry = True definition of a hero. I don't know how these guys spot people in need of help, but thank God they do. When they showed the little girl struggling against the water about to drown, I felt so hopeless.... But then Terry happens to spot her, gets on his board, and the next thing you see is him pulling the little girl out of the water just goes to show these guys truly save lives. That little girl had no chance against the water. RIP - 'Terry's baby boy
Rip terry, rest in paradise, agreed a true hero
Man... Harry’s is amazing. What skill and experience. Those were seriously tough saves back to back.
I never realized so many adults/people risked drowning so often, Lifeguards have a very respectable job!
The tourists just have no idea at all. There’s so many hostels along the ocean and they just walk straight down to the ocean and jump in.
True.
ive seen terry's rescue with the young child so many times, and it never fails to make me emotional. The fact the young kid who was close to drowning is struggling, the thoughts going through her head, she says thank you. These lifeguards are legends, they should be so proud of their vocation.
Even as a grown man, the second Terry pulled that little girl out the water, I almost started crying and was deff tearing up. These guys really are amazing. They have no thought of what could happen to them, though they’re very skilled and trained and know how to control that board, but they put everything aside, safety and all to help others stay alive. It’s these types of people you really gotta admire.
9:27 my heart🥺 for her to say thank you at that moment, great little kid
The strength these guys have is incredible
7:33 this is exactly why sign language should be a required subject in all schools it always baffled me that in high school we had compulsory French lessons(in the uk) but not compulsory sign language lessons
Oh I live in uk😅srry if u didn’t want to know
@@Dsmpfan484 cool same here
I always thought morse code would’ve been more useful than french
It's a nice thing to say, but how many people do you know can actually hold any sort of basic conversation with someone in French from just basic schooling, or can even say a sentence after 4 years of it I still can't. There's even fewer people in most countries that use sign language than those who speak French, realistically almost nobody is ever going to be in a situation to use it, so just like French nobody will remember it. It's pointless to teach either of them.
@@axo9813 actually I'm a waitress and only last night I had a customer in the restaurant who was deaf, I'm not fluent in sign language(my mum taught me the basics as a kid since she knew the value of it) but was able to have a small conversation with her then gave her my pen and notebook so that she could order
As a dad of a beautiful daughter when buddy pulls the little girl out hit me pretty hard thank god for you thank god for the boys too much love much respect to all of you and your lost son mate
15:19 😱someone who can see the flags and knows what they mean? What a rare sight on bondi
Rest in Peace Terry. You had a heart of gold. We love you and your loved ones.
Jethro's face when he's going out to save those girls.. that look of determination.. you go, Jethro! 😁
The heroic measures given by these “ocean angels” to save lives is truly what real hero’s look like. ❤❤❤
Seen it so many times but everytime I see that little girl rescued, panicking and almost drowning yet her first words are thank you, its real touching
Being a lifeguard by any means isn’t easy, water is scary and oh so very powerful. These guys do a phenomenal job! I cannot imagine how difficult this job can be, how they read situations is amazing.
That look of determination in Jethro's eyes when paddling out to help the deaf sisters. 😎👍
interesting to see the evolution of cpr and rescusitation over the years. I remember watching that last clip for my EMT class, absolutely insane that he came back from that.
do you know why tucker was moving like that after they shocked him even though he had no pulse? I tried to google what it is and what causes it, but i couldn't find anything
@@PastelOverlord maybe the electric charge triggers the muscles to move
@@PastelOverlord When someone gets shocked, their heart is actually beating at that point, but in a wrong rhythm. The shock doesn’t restart the heart (that’s what chest compressions are for), it attempts to get it back into the correct rhythm. This is why people without a pulse can’t be shocked, it would not do anything helpful to save the patients life
So sorry for Terry's loss. Amazing job these guys doing! Bless them!
Knew Taka and Terry's rescues would be here, would've been disappointed otherwise lol. Fantastic work from the boys over the years
10:53 this big brother was touching to hear….his teaching his younger sister what not to do, then gently wipes her face with his towel. Just touching. ❤️
I was lucky enough to travel
Australia 🇦🇺 when I was 21.. it was epic.. Bondi left a mark on my heart ❤️
The thank you from the little girl made me smile! These lifeguards are more than heroes in my mind. They are saints!
When he said he lost his son that hit me so hard I am so sorry for your lose 😭
As soon as that baby gets a breath she says thank you.
ive been a pool lifeguard for about 9 years and have so much respect for beach lifeguards. truly have to be at the top of your game to make sure the patrons are always safe at the beach
Harrison has at least three boardless rescues!!! WHAT A MAN!! HE IS BRAAAVVVEEE
This sweet "thank you"
The look of determination on Jethro face shows the professionalism of the life guards
Are these the best lifeguards ever??? They are so compassionate, non-judgemental, just really good souls!
That girl that first got to Tucker is the one who started his life being saved. If not for her, he probably wouldn't have made it
Taka, not Tucker. He's Japanese and said his name was Takahiro.
Man that was tough to watch
It's Taka. But honestly I feel bad for her, she looked very traumatized. All the professionals at bondi are amazing, and she also deserves recognition for noticing something was very wrong.
I’m sure Taka will be very grateful to her
So sad about Terry's son, now he is with his son in Heaven, RIP Terry 😭👼
When you really think about this situation and what’s happened these lifeguards abilities are outstandingly amazing!
True.
They should put a picture of a body shape on boards to know which way to lay on board. Language barriers. I've noticed that tourists are very confused with the signs, as the dangerous current signs are the same colour as red and yellow flags. Maybe they need to be different colour only red for danger.
These lifeguards should get a raise and a medal for bravery and selflessness
Very much true.
I'm addicted watching you everyday heroes.
I used to watch these years ago, was entertaining for me,
Since becoming a father, man these kid rescues tear me up so bad
So you no longer watch them?
@@khonkhosilelihle7414 occasionally, not nearly as much as I used to, single parent life 😂
getting choked up watching this episode.. especially with terry, may he fly high with his son ❤
My favorite thing about this show is the MASSIVE hearts these lifeguards have.
The way Terry says "sorry guys" as he starts crying is just so sad.
Terry gone but never forgotten. RIP legend.
Their skill and determination for saving lives is amazing. It almost angers me in some of these situations how parents and loved ones are so clueless of what their children are doing or not having simple plans in place in case something was to become an emergency knowing where to go who to call ect.
I have been watching this show non stop for a week but you guys are so good at what you do
From what I'm understanding from Google and those that saw follow ups to this when the videos were up. Taka has a congenital heart problem which caused him to have a heart attack in the water.
Which we could have the update video though! I feel like we get left hanging for a lot of these clips!
Djk34💘💝😘😘 are you single how old you are
The little girl in blue definitely made me tear up, good job you guys 💯
Indeed good job.
Once I went to the beach and I was having such a good time, then I decided to to go farther into the water then suddenly I was getting swept away by the waves, and screamed for help and a kid about my age grabbed my hand, and brought me back to shore.
Ps:when I was getting swept away I was thinking”will I see my parents again?!I guess this is how I’ll die”
thank god that kid was there to help you
Terry deserves to go to heaven for all of the people he rescues
Wow that’s absolutely amazing how they saved the man who was dead! Also I’m so sorry Terry about your son every bondi lifeguards are incredible!
Ive now watched Terrys rescue numerous times & it still makes me cry so best of luck to all lifeguards out there stay strong & stay safe✌ PEACE✌
They're all amazing but Harrison is SUCH a good lifeguard.
everything about the deaf sisters and her deaf grandmother is crazy. I never thought about deaf people swimming, not being able to shout to them and warn them. And then the grandmother, imagine you are trying to tell someone to help you in such a specific situation. And then the girl actually speaking. I know that some deaf people can speak but that was really weird and really good. Understandable in a way thats natural without truly pronouncing the words correctly. Fascinating and im glad they got rescued
I go to school with them
Thanks for this awesome compilation. No words to express how I feel after watching that. It's like I've been on a rollercoaster. Just .....wow
I feel absolutely terrible for Terry - and not in a pitiful way. I dont have children, but jesus christ. Imagine your child passing like that
I was once in a bad situation with rough surf. The lifeguard save my life. I appreciate you guys.
my heart goes out to terry. sorry to hear about your loss but i'm glad you are in a position to help save the lives of others. much love from America mate.
Sadly Terry passed away from cancer towards the end of last year.
When the little girl said thank you that’s when I started crying man
I love this show so so much and am always very grateful for the amount of people they save but sometimes when I see them do CPR or bagging them they don't do it properly and it's so heart wrenching because I know they want to save them so much
Amazing job Harries! I feel so deeply for Terry.
This show is addicting lol I started watching this show a couple of weeks ago and now its all I watch..
Same lol 😂
Same lmfao
that little boy is the best brother ever
These guys one and all are UTTERLY FANTASTIC " NATIONAL HERO'S " sending all my very best wishes to you all.... Your the best of the best !! Tony from Edinburgh Scotland.
RIP terry, you're a legend mate. thank you for being so selfless.
I love the brother giving her strong advice.
Great job lads, and thanks for all you do on behalf of everyone (: you’re doing good. Have a good one all!
I totally agree! :)
Terry's story and his rescue of that little asian girl brought tears to my eyes. I haven't been able to cry for over 20 years. OMG!
A few yrs ago I went over to a stone beach near my home town and there were quite a few deaf family’s and it was at a hot summer, lovely day but there was a dog, a border collie was just laying on the stones quite limb and wouldn’t respond to our physical touches and I had to go to a family I saw that had 2 other dogs, turns out they’re all dead apart from their daughter and the dogs were also dead and couldn’t hear, but what amazed me was the deaf mother made a yelp and the dog rose and came to the woman. Quite amazing and something I will forever remember.
I hope you meant deaf and not dead.
Lifesavers are just that - you save lives! You are all heroes and I happily support you guys every month for the amazing work you do looking out for everybody and not just at Bondi of course ❤️
Hero's who chose to be! Great people saving lives daily! 👍
Harrison Oh my gosh! He handled those two people in those wicked waves!!
Someone saved me from Newquay beach when i was about 8 years old, these guys are seriously undervalued
The part with the grandmother and the kids really got me crying just thinking that if something had happened to them and they weren’t save the grandmother probably wouldn’t have known until it was too late 😞
We should have such great lifeguards all over Australia and not just Australia but all over the world. Good job!
I just found this show yesterday and I'm obsessed been binge watching
This just shows how amazing these lifeguards really are. 😊
Gigantic and soooooo 100 overdue thankyou, to all of the humans still out there that know what life means and how close we all come to losing it sometimes...and still willing to run fight paddle and fight their way into our worst days and fears❤❤❤ hallelujah for you people, cant wait to meet you one day
OH GOD BLESS that lifeguard he lost his son. His story is heart wrenching 💔 😢. God bless you 🙏
