One of the most heartfelt and emotional games we've ever played, Ori and Blind Forest is an absolute masterpiece. This one was sort of awkward to make a game movie for, since it doesn't really have cutscenes in the traditional sense. Nonetheless, we feel like we get the point across. And if you haven't already, make sure to pick up this game and play!

Ah, that water part....i remember getting frustrated for close to 2 hours when i was binging on that game. Interesting to see it wasn't just me.

all of the escape sequences were brutal, but it felt so good to finally get past them. old school platforming right there.
Yeah, revisiting the game not too long ago harshly reminded me of how difficult that section was. I do think it's the most challenging escape sequence after the most recent playthrough.

Probbably becuase microsoft and disney don't want to collaborate, plus- Disney milks everything, and i can't see Disney making anything that tops this game's feel.
@@Foxett25 If I were selling the idea, I would make sure Disney doesn't milk it. This game definitely deserves to be more than just a game. Imagine the people you could inspire!
@@dannyharrison4559 Yeah, but at this point, i don't trust Disney. Their best times were ending in 2017. If i were to give rights to Disney for Ori and the Blind forest, i'd give it to the 2000-2013 Disney that made nice movies.
@@Foxett25 Unfortunately that's very true. The only way to get them back to that is to be the first one. Maybe someone will finally tell Disney to actually give a shit about their movies again.
@@dannyharrison4559 Yeah. Probbably no new kids movies Are decent to watch. The small studios/studios not just for kids are actually putting in work. Like the Mario movie looks good.
If anyone in the Future does make a movie, its gonna be for older kids, since the story can Hurt.
Man owls have it rough in these games. The light tree is definitely the bad guy here. He killed innocents and plunged the forest into darkness just because one light spirit got lost, and then the whole game is Ori cleaning up his mess, which includes the deaths of literally every other spirit. That’s supervillain level stuff right there. My guess is the death of all the owls in the other game was caused by something similar.
i always thought it was Shriek that killed the owls in the sequel
Wise One1494 no it definitely wasn’t Shriek. Shriek was born AFTER all the owls died. The only reason she survived was because she was still in the egg, but she did still get affected by the decay, which is what caused her malformations. Shriek literally hatched under the dead bodies of her parents, ended up with a significant disability, and then was shunned by the few remaining living owls, forcing her to fend for herself, simply because she looked different. All this happened when she was just a baby, so of course she ends up as a defensive character, terrified of the light, lashing out at everyone around her. Her story is a truly tragic one.
@@Tinyvalkyrie410 i was thinking that the grown up owls that chased her away, and perhaps the young ones she met, were wiped out by Shriek
Wise One1494 oh ok I misunderstood. I don’t think we ever found out what happened to those owls, but I wouldn’t be super surprised if she did kill them. I like to think they are still out there though.

their gender in unspecified, that's why the Tree calls them "my child" instead of "my son"/"my daughter" and uses gender-neutral language overall
I think we don't know if they really don't have a gender or it's just purposefully unknown so the player can imagine as any gender they want

Thanks for this. Playing the game gives me a migraine with how terrible it is, but the story's alright. Now I can actually play the decent sequel with context.
