All I want to say regarding Genshin and Star Rail is that I feel like folks are forgetting that these games are rewards in-of themselves. Like, for Genshin, I LOVE open-world action-adventure games (it's why I've played a number of MMOs like World of Warcraft and Guild Wars 2) ... but I've never had a Nintendo console, so I've never had the chance to experience something like the Legend of Zelda series, so when Genshin came out I got the "breath of the wild experience", complete with amazing elemental-magic based combat, a deep and thought-invoking story, and some of the best dang music I've ever heard in gaming (Props to Hoyomix in general really). And I get all this FOR FREE with COSTANT UPDATES ... like, how can I care about 3 Wishes when I'm getting such a great and perpetual experience at no cost (other than time and Gigs).
OF course I dont wish to invalidate the rightful complaints of others, especially things like QoL, but I just think that they're blowing things out of proportion all because they're not getting the same rewards as another game. (Which I know there's a can-of-worms to that as well.) And really, as Arnold and others have said, Mihoyo still wins regardless of which game you play ... I enjoy all three (HI3rd included) equally; they've earned my attention through some outstanding games.
That rant aside though, yeah, Star Rail 2.0 is freaking nuts lol, I have no idea how I'll fit in all this upcoming content into my busy life. Something that came to mind during Arnold's watch of post-stream was ... what happens to your body while you're asleep? Like, what's actually protecting you from some assassin when you're in a dream? Or worse, like being puppeteered like some sort of harmony-zombie lol.
The real problem that people don't get is that Genshin is the money maker while both Honkais are love projects

you don't put 100 million dollars of investment on the line if you want a money maker or spend that same amount yearly on content that could be taken out to cut costs.
Be real. The honkai series have so much competition and are prone to have powercreep because of their combat systems. It's a smart business choice to appear as generous as possible.
@@jesseschuberg1878 I'd call an open world game with well-designed and researched areas and regions to explore, with great main and world quests rich with lore placed even in the simplest things like in-world message boards or NPC dialogue all being released at least every other patch as a love project. They didn't have to, but they did, and that's what personally make me see Genshin as a love project.
This difference in opinion, all being valid, could be due to difference in reason for playing the game. As someone who plays for exploration and lore, I see why they would violently disagree with me when I say that I think a new area with more quests and mats (with lore flavor text to each of them) shows more love to me than 20+ free pulls. Disappointing for people playing a game for sake of rewards and gacha, but I play the game for the game
Think those disappointed are the same ppl who don't see game as love project and only as money maker. (It's both tbh hahaha)

Himeko will honestly be fine her doing will be a bad move to do since shes hasnt done to much in the story outside of 1.4 and cocolia. Let alone have a meaningful arc yet. Plus why would they do something predictable when it be better to do something unexpected. Killing Himeko would not make the majority happy especially not like it was in HI3. Regardless im hyped for 2.0 and cant eait to experience the world of dreams! (Sorry had to repost and due not being able to edit on mobile)

Update coming soon. There will be a changed format for HSR since it cannot exist in the same way that my Genshin series does, but due to limited time and resources to upkeep progress being made on both backlogs.

I don't watch it hsr streams. Couse I really don't care about new characters that much. But. I heard that we have new world this time ( new main story quest) and Dan Heng's rerun. THAT'S what makes me excited ❤
I was kinda bored with the content they have give us as of late, i do hope this version gave us a reason to come back.
Not gonna lie, same. Version 1.5 and 1.5 felt rather light on the content that I care about (Trailblaze story progression), but after this Version 2.0 reveal, I'm reminded that, similar to Genshin Impact, the patches between archon quests serve as the falling action and reset for event quests and region expansions until the next big chapter of the mainline story is ready.
That’s the same writer who said Honkai Impact is positive game.
This is like Senti's Samsara all over again, can't wait, for those who don't know who that writer with Da wei is, he is the writer for HI3 which is why those who played all/most of HI3 is worried because he is the reason for most of what happened in HI3😂😂

I want to express my concern. This concerns Himeko. And then suddenly she appears in some kind of....alone.
At the same time, she is between the tables as if at a feast.
As if she is the main dish of this strange performance. Maybe my theory sounds stupid or weird. But I remember what happened in the third Honkai with Himeko. I hope I'm wrong and Himeko will be fine.

Has anyone made the connection yet that "Penocony" sounds a lot like penal colony, a land for exiles? Based on the song i can only imagine that will be the theme of this story. Like people who have nothing to lose, losing themselves in the joys of this dream world. Cant decide who are the villians of the story though. I feel like hoyo is setting us up for the bait and switch with the family of villians really just wanting to break the dream because it is too adicting.
Btw hoyo trying to put me on the ramen diet with that banner rotation and achron coming 7.1. Black swan is perfect to pair with my e2 kafka and sparkle is star rail Hu Tao. Impossible to skip either.

Genshin Could Never 😂
Comments like this kind of project, to me at least, that Honkai: Star Rail will forever live in the shadow of Genshin by its actual player base. Watching an HSR stream and immediately talking about Genshin, despite HSR serving you the content you claim to want, gives the vibe that HSR has become a comfortable "waiting room" in the hopes that Genshin implements similar systems and changes so they can go back to playing it. But because those features aren't in Genshin, every livestream has become a repeated mantra: "This will show them how much more fun I'm having in HSR."
After being out for 9 months, despite all they have added, HSR players will always speak first about what Genshin is or isn't doing before the game they're actively playing. The criticism of Gensin is valid; I'm not arguing that, but it's VERY clear that the "Genshin could never" mantra comes from a place of not being truly content with what HSR is delivering because, in their eyes, Genshin is only a few changes away from bringing them back.

I've been watching your content and others too on genshin and HSR and HI3rd and whenever I watch HSR they keep bringing up genshin in negative light and it just ruins the mood heavy because genshin is my fav among those 3.
Should I just avoid that content for now or just muster through those criticisms to enjoy the content? It's gotten to a point where I get back from a long day or college or studying to watch my fav streamer/youtuber react to something cool only to be hit with a wave of negativity, it was fine at first but even content creators seem to be getting annoyed about it but it seems impossible to escape.

I unfollowed the CCs with so much negativity in their chat and it makes things easier, cause my limited free times to watch Arnold and few positive mature CCs and they actually put a smile on my face. I hope it is fine by Arnold to drop a name here, but you could check MarisaHonkai for Honkai strict content and enjoy it.

@@Fuphu @wreckingvi2265 if you want my suggestion, watch non english speaking CC streams, last night, I watched 9 different jp vtubers, and each chat had comments saying how cute the characters were and how cool the MV was. Almost every big english speaking CC i've watched, I saw or just know immediately that their chat couldn't even go past the MV trailer without saying *that term*. If you want some english speaking CC reccommendations, aside from Arnold, I reccommend Enniee, also covers hoyo content, really nice person, and also Windflowerlia, she mainly streams her content, but she's one of the casters for the Genius Invokation TCG tournaments
They truly are speedrunner chefs, cooking more in just 9months than genshin in 3years
To be fair, we don't know Genshin's coding limitations compared HSR because it came out first. HSR, coming out second, has the benefit of learning from Genshin's mistakes, and creating systems for frequent QoL updates, sosense for why HSR is getting more updates than the former. Not only that, but HYV knowing what players want from Genshin's past surveys, mixed with a coding system that is more liberating and flexible than Genshin's since they made it after the fact, can easily make it feel like HSR is doing more active improvements than players think. It's just one point I have yet to really talk about. Likely because it's easier to lambast a company that makes its players think they don't care. idk.
Whole stream was just the star rail devs flexxing on genshin devs on how its done. I hope they were taking notes
We should not conflate the devs with the player base. I'm sure the HSR developers focused on delivering the best possible experience to their player base, not their sister title. Genshin and Hoyo are seen as competition in the public eye, but at the end of the day, it's always going to be a massive W for HoYoverse.
You are the one needs to take notes. Ignoring so many factors regarding Genshin and get blinded by some wishes, putting Gacha ahead of quality of World building, story telling and much more. HSR is a different game, different Genre, so has different competition. HSR lost over 3.5M players in December, they had to improvise, as Hoyo is smart and don't let their game stagnate as they have long plans for their game. PS: also Learn from Arnold lol
focusing on the rewards instead of the game's content itself is like caring about the cherry on a cake. Like i get it the cherry is nice but why would you throw away the whole cake just because the cherry isn't good enough??
