  • Oh, how we've dreamed of this day - we are finally planting the main bones of the landscape surrounding the patio with tea olives and 'Incrediball' hydrangeas! Join us for a day of trenching, installing irrigation, planting shrubs, and fixing broken drain pipes. It's always an adventure around here, but the result is so satisfying to see!

I love how the kids were sitting off to the side watching mom and dad. Your daughter is such a cutie and she is a spit’n image of her mama. I wish I lived near Creekside, I would be there scooping up all those wonderful plants.

I was just thinking yesterday that I really like your "working" videos. So happy to see this one this morning. Your family is not afraid of work! Thanks for sharing with us! And since seeing you plant in clay like we have I've been planting letting the plants raised a little above the ground. They seem to be loving it! When I bought some plants from the local nursery they wanted to sell peat moss to use in amending the soil. Nope. Don't need it! Thanks for what you do!

    • @anitahadley2871

I have heard people say use peat moss and I have never understood that. Peat hold onto water so why would you want to add it? It’s always made me scratch my head.

Jenny and Jerry, I watched half of this video, then I started feeling extremely lazy, just watching the two of you work, so I turned off my computer and went outside to get something accomplished. I decided if you could work in the heat, then so could I (it's 97⁰ F here now). I hauled my lazy butt outside and got busy working! You two are definitely motivational workers, and I'm proof positive! 💪

I didn't think it was possible to under-water lavender. I'd always heard they like it dry.
The Spanish lavender I planted next to the driveway looked wilted. We're having extreme, record-breaking heat and no rain here in Minnesota.
I do not want to see my water bill.
