Today I want to review the latest release from Guerlain: L'Homme Ideal Extrême. The new flanker from L'Homme Ideal line.
I'll also compare it with the EDP version. Is the new Extrême flanker better than the EDP?

The EDP is still my favorite, but Extreme is still excellent! I’m just a sucker for a cherry note in a fragrance! Great review as always João!

EdP is King no doubt. Even the next morning dry down is magical. I get a sweet musky mossy with a little cherry deep in the skin the next morning that makes wanna cuddle with my own hand.
Guerlain L'Homme Ideal has to be one of my favorite designer lines. Really can't go wrong with either the EDP, Extreme, or even the L'intense. IMO
I would also add the original EDT 😁 for me, L'Intense is a bit redundant, but it has a nice spicy kick. Great line nevertheless 👌👌
Extreme by far my favorite of the line, maybe my most fav for autumn 🍂
Yeah I cannot agree with the hype generated by some reviewers some stating this being the best release of 2020, I give that accolade to Pasha de Cartier EDP. I find this fragrance very nice but a tad stuffy with its blending, too many strong accords clashing. It does smell really nice but I find the EDP smoother and more comforting with the incense so I prefer the EDP. My overall favourite from the line is the Cologne.
But hey thats just my two cents, each to their own. Great comparison video my friend :)
I fully agree with you about everything you said! The best designer release of this year is, without a doubt, Pasha de Cartier Parfum and also my favorite flanker is the Cologne flanker! 😁👌👌

With plum cherry and almond notes in there I'm imaging it has a faint scent of a boozy bakewell or marzipan type feel I love gourmand fragrances I can't wait for the cold weather so I can start wearing all the winter fragrances
This is my latest addition too. I just have to buy everything by Guerlain. What a House!

Have them both I think the edp is more wearable like fall winter and maybe spring, I wore extreme for Christmas I think it's the best pick for super cold weathers. :)
I own the EDP and love it. Will definitely try this one as soon as I see it at the stores.
Both scents are truly delicious. Hard to pick, but I come back to the EDP, too!
Is the edp as sweet as Invictus or the one million line?
i ordered extreme from fragrance x last night after learning that it was no. 1 for the 2020 fragrances on fragrantica and multiple positive reviews, saying things like "this is what the EDP should have been" etc. however, this channel and some other reviewers, seem to suggest that it doesn't perform all that well which is a bummer. i mostly buy long lasting stuff like dior sauvage, azzaro wanted by night, moschino toy boy, bvlgari aqva atlantique etc. i hope extreme will hold up.

Ideal extreme is the best from the line for me. It could remind me of a light plum japonais, or an edt version of it.
A light Plum Japonais actually is a very accurate description 😁👌
EDP is one of those scents that you keep smelling your hand. Yes is sweet yes is soft yes it’s not versatile and not complex. The underlying attributes of EDP is exactly that: a soft sweet gourmandish simple scent but that you get easily addicted to it. I just got a backup bottle in case they decide to discontinue or reformulate. I have my father the EDT (new), as there was no point using it after I came across the EDP.
I tried the edp version side by side with Stronger with you intensly, I think they both are in the same realm,but the L'Homme edp got approval from 3 different ladies. It is quite versatile as he mentioned. Overall,as a soŕt of fresh with a touch of warmth,I will without a doubt give it 10/10

Have the EDP, find it quite sweet/gourmandy and very unisex, would particularly like that smell on a woman. Was considering the Extreme, but in a faceoff together with Prada Luna Rossa Black and Bvlgari Men in Black, the Luna Rossa won for me. I find the Extreme actually a bit rough, probably the pepper. My favorite from the L'Homme Ideal line is still the Cologne.

The Cologne flanker is my favorite from this line and I have yet to understand why Guerlain replace it with the Cool flanker, which is terrible, imo.
I have to revisit Luna Rossa Black, but I remember to enjoy it when I tried it
I was in a tough position. I have edt. Should I get edp or Extreme? I've tried both of them for 2 weeks. Extreme to me is more wearable, versatile. The plum note is much better than the sour cherry note. Also, that tobacco note with the leather note is just so good. In the end, I bought extreme. I'm not saying edp is a bad fragrance. It is not. But If I would have to choose which one to wear and buy, definitely Extreme. Good video! Thank you!
Get EDP. Wear it for yourself and don’t mind what people say.

First of all, great vid! About the ideal edp... I have both the new and old bottle and they do in fact smell different. I am not the one to start false rumors and I hate those people. But yeah, they do smell different

I wouldn't call this the best house in the world,but for the price range,it is very good. But, have you ever tried on Xerjoff? Good lord they smell exquisite. Very elegant,but very pricey. I would say for an avid fregrance guy/gal, you have to have at least one Xerjoff in your collection. I have bought I think 6 samples of Xerjoff from luckyscents, whenever they arrive, I will update you guys and etc you know kw which one I picked to buy a full bottle.

I bought the EDT version and when I went to check the batch code I discovered that it is from 6 years and 4 months ago.

Could this work in the spring or summer nights? Or is it strictly for the fall and winter seasons? I have the edp version which I'm in love with at the moment.

Doesn’t Project, Low Sillage, Good Smell but its a skin scent, basically you’re smelling your hand but no one else will notice, i tried in evening, morning, afternoon it doesn’t projects
Where did you buy it? Edp sticks to my clothes for 4-5 days. From my skin I can catch the wiffs for 5 hours. I sprayed once behind my ear today, 4 hours passed and when I move my head I catch the smell

I love the EDT and the EDP. This one though is very metallic and sour that puts me off. To me this is probably the worst from the line.

Is it me or does this smell exactly like the original spicebomb?
Funny how half of the fragrance review say there's a very noticeable leather note that comes out at the base of the fragrance.
Well, fragrances can develop differently on each skin, but on mine I barely detect any leather
Extreme is the best of the line. It's very well balanced. I don't really reach for the EDP, I like Cologne, EDT and L'intense better.

The Cologne version is my favorite from the line! That grapefruit/almond blend is done masterfully! So smooth, fresh and natural smelling 😍 to this day I don't understand why they replaced it with Cool, which is waaayyy worst...
L'Intense is ok. I think it's a bit redundant, but it has a nice spicy kick 😊

I’m sure you got s bad batch of the EDP. There is no way your nose can like it behind the others. I’m pretty sure you don’t even own a EDP bottle.
