- Thor 5 official announcement and Doctor Strange 3 official announcement | According to a new special book that was released for Thor Love and Thunder, Thor 5 is in development with Taika Waititi stating the Thor 5 villain will be stronger than Hela. Chris Hemsworth has talked about Thor 5 stating that Thor will have to be different than Thor Love and Thunder. Doctor Strange 3 is also in development currently.
Doctor Strange 3 update: Dr Strange 3 will adapt a Time Runs Out storyline that will tie directly into Avengers Secret Wars. Thor 5 should also tie directly into Avengers Kang Dynasty and Avengers Secret Wars. I think the Darker Thor is something we may see in Avengers Secret Wars. It’s a great idea if Kang could somehow recruit a variant of Thor from another universe, either by threatening his family or maybe this Thor would be so dark that hearing such a good hero out in the multiverse exists with his name may infuriate him. I think dark version of Thor would make for an amazing villain but there are plenty of other villains out there that we could still see like Mangog or even Galactus.

@@Lucifer_morningstar_357 dude check out the story where Hercules fought the chaos king. There's a panel where it shows them literally dwarfing earth in size and fighting in the cosmos. I forgot why, but he is way above his base power here. It still shows his power potential is super gnarly, but im guessing they'll make him right on par with Thor.

@@ClarkKentGetsNohoes Current phase only had two movies because phase 5 started in 2023... Ant-Man and GotG3, one kinda bad one very good. If you mean phase 4, almost all movies under delivered, only Spider-Man was great. Black Widow was meh , Shang-Chi was okay, Eternals was baaaaaad, Doctor Strange was meh, Thor was fun but should've been a VERY dark movie and therefor failed, Black Panther was mweh. With the rest of phase 5 Marvel does need to pick things up because even though I don't agree with some of the decisions Gunn has been making, we do know he has a master mind when it comes to this genre and I do expect him to push some great projects in the DCEU.

@@N04H_Hunter Ragnarok was great because it showed Hela enough to show how much of a threat she is; starting with destroying Mjolnir. Taika is a great director, but Love/Thunder was just too much humor and the seriousness/concern on characters were lacking. Hopefully, he learns from GOTG3 or something and shows the balance between humor and dread it consists of.
You better hope Taika has nothing to do with it; be writing it, directing it, or even producing it. Love & Thunder was straight trash all the way around and every bit of that is unequivocally on Taika!

Thor and DS were trash. Fans were not raving over those films and they did not do well financially. Considering the current Disney/Marvel trend these at best will under perform if not out right bomb.

Taika had one bad day in the office and the whole world turned heel on him. It was like Thor: Ragnarok was deleted from everyone’s memory. Wild!
No, no..Ragnarok was good. But he what he did wrong was to take the same formula and ramp up the silly.
I hope in this movie they actually round off his arc. Due to inevitable issues arising in the future with the asguardians and humans over population growth and resources. Thor Valkyrie, and the others decide to move the asguardians to a Vacant planet. And they properly start to rebuild Asgard from the ground up.
Thor finally accepts his mantle of Being King properly. By growing to understand that being yourself is not an excuse to ignore his birthright responsibilities. He doesn’t need to be just like his dad and grandfather to be a good king. He’ll grow to understand what it means to be King, but also himself.
And at the end of the movie, maybe he’ll pass on the torch to his new “daughter” and she can carry on the mantle while he stays on Asgard. Maybe even show an after credits scene set well into the distant future showing that Asgard was fully rebuilt from the ground up under Thor’s leadership.

What they also need to have is have movies where Kang defeats the hero as well, not just in Kang Dynasty.This helps build up Kang and his power. Showing him defeated at the end of every movie doesn't seem good to build hope around him

I’m really surprised to see Thor 5 even be rumored so soon.
I think Thor 5 should adapt the Fear Itself event. The main villain is Odin's brother Cul, the God of Fear and Thor has to recruit help from Hercules, Valkyrie, Mighty Thor (she is shown to be alive in Valhalla so she can be brought back to Midgard) and TVA Loki to defend Earth from its own Ragnarok
I'm intrigued to know what happens in both Thor 5 and Doctor Strange 3, because Thor will fight Hercules and Doctor Strange along with Clea is trying prevent more incursions from occuring. Doctor Strange will probably meet the Black Priests.

I think the Thor 5, they should go the same route as Godzilla vs. Kong. 2 opposing forces clashing together only to discover a bigger threat and must work together in the end.
In Thor 5, Thor must train and become even more physically stronger and educate his daughter in combat and war tactics. I would love it if zeus put a bounty on Thor which causes all gods from different planets and across different cultures to start attacking Thor . They must revive hela in this movie. So according to me the final battle must be Asgard vs Olympus where Thor and his allies (valkyrie, korg and sif ) are fighting against Hercules, Ares and Hela . In this battle something must happen which ensures that Thor cannot use his weapons, Thor must rely only on his physical strength, combat skills, 1500+ years of battle experience and his lightening power (as seen in the final battle of Thor ragnarok) to defeat Hercules, Hela and Ares. It would be cool to see Thor not holding back and going Into his berserker rage to defeat the powerful trio. After winning the battle Thor must give a warning to zeus. In the post credits zeus is jealous, rageful and frustrated due to his loss to Thor which causes and motivates him to release the Midgard serpent to destroy earth and everything in its path setting up Thor 6.
It would be so awesome if they bring back Hela. Please become the Director of Thor 5. I beg you

Taika is a fantastic director. I did not like Love & Thunder, but nobody bats 1000. I'm sure Taika has taken in and considered the criticism, at least I hope he has. I am interested in seeing his course correction.

Taika has received criticisms for Ragnajoke since day one. For how he treated Warriors Three, Sif, and that it was funny when it shouldn't have been. Remember how he corrected himself? Yeah, made it even worse.

I think a more serious Thor 5 would be the best for the character development as well. Thor 1 had him learn to be responsible, Thor 3 had him become a leader but in the end gave it up, and Thor 4 had him dealing with Jane and other personal issues. Thor 5 should have him fully step into the leader role. I also agree they should tone down the humor a bit for it. Thor 4 was good, but for the sake of growth Thor 5 should be more serious.

End of Loki Season 2 Loki comes to main MCU for some reason and Thor sees Loki get kidnapped by a Kang variant and Thor next movie is Thor taking on all the gods to get an explanation for Loki getting taken by what appeared to be a powerful god, but no one has a clue who it was. Good setup and would explain why thor takes on gods. He finally saw Loki again and they took him away from him.

I'm surprised Deadpool 3 hasn't come up more while discussing incursions and the future of where mcu is going. It sounds like it really going to play huge part in many ways.
Thor 5 would really go hard if they made it like super mythical; with Thor fighting Hercules in the beginning then they become allies and fight even more terrifying gods sent by Zeus. (Hopefully Taika will have learned from his mistakes).
Thor is my top 2 favorite marvel character. So I hope we get more Thor played by Chris Hemsworth. Based on the ending of Thor 4 I think Thor 5 is gonna be Thor vs. Hercules.

I have some theories that kang won't be the main villain for Thor 5 but could be responsible for the villain. If the villain is beta ray bill and instead of him being his own character they changed his origins to have him simply be a thor variant that Kang controls just like modok and what if every came variant has a different villain lackey. So he leans beta rat out to Zeus to kill Thor because Hercules fails and I know what you thinking why would Kang work with Zeus because I think Zeus is thunderbolt is a piece of Kang like the ten rings the and the 2 bangles.

Getting ready for secret wars
I myself super excited to see on what's going to happen in Thor 5 and Doctor Strange 3, and of course to see finally the New Avengers be formed.
As long as Taika learns from the mistakes he made in Love and Thunder. I'm confident he can make another great Thor movie. I feel many people were too harsh on the guy just because he made one bad movie. Dude still made Ragnarok and Jojo rabbit so we all know he has it in him

He just saw people likes the comedy in Ragnarok and probably assumed if Love and Thunder was MORE comedy focused then more people will like it. But Taika has said again and again he doesn't respect the mythos or source material. He needs to learn from that and not treat it as a big joke. Ragnorok was only good because he had to be controlled. It would have been like L&T. He has the skill to do a good movie, he just needs to take it seriously.
I definately think Thor Love and Thunder could've been better it felt like it was rushed. But there are key elements for the future of the mcu that came out of that movie an although Dr strange m. o. m may have it's haters I think the great elements definitely outweigh the bad. It would be crazy if the new Dr. Strange while mostly being in the dark dimension comes out first and leads into Thor 5 where Thor, Hercules and Dr. Strange himself are forced to fight a Kang variant who has harnessed the powers of Dormamu but even more powerful. And the post credit scene be beta ray bill and the silver surfer are watching all of this go down from different places and both decide to join the fight and finally see them in full length in Avengers 5
I don't think T4 was rushed, the story was fleshed out and the effects were great... but the premise of the movie was really dark but Taika took basically the same approach as Ragnarok and focused on the silliness with the jokes and a goofy Thor.
I think it felt very rushed and tried too hard to be funny. Waitit needs to back it down or stay away from Thor.

The reason why thanos was so good is because he got teased slowly and then made a badass entrance in real time during infinity war. Seeing so many variants of kang in a few different films will just make him meh when it comes to kang dynasty

Marvel is always a big thing in our home and happy to see how all the movie bring our family together. Interesting to see thor as a serious character and see how they build up to getting him to that point
Hope Thor 5 Is Good and will like to have Waititi back to direct. Just tone it down from the last one.
I'm glad Taika is sticking around. I wasn't too fond of Love and Thunder, but Taika is a world class director - just look at any of his other films. It's not like he forgot how to direct. I could see him knocking the next Thor out of the park. Just hope he got the message that Thor needs a tonal shift.
He is a good director I’ll give him that but I don’t know what his thought process was in the decisions he made in Thor 4
It’s like he completely disregarded Thor’s character development and basically made him look like a naive child.
Since he is coming back to direct I just hope that he humbly considers the faults he made in love and thunder and brings a good story for the 5th one

I’m actually excited for these two projects. I hope Thor does get more serious but have a little humor. From what Warren says about DS3, I have faith that it will be a great movie.

I’m excited for DS3 it’s going to be awesome to see the Black Priests and what role they are gonna lay in the Kang Dynasty. It would be epic if they recruit Dr Strange to part of them. Then we would have them aiding in the fight against the Dynasty.
