also never been a coffee drinker. occasionally in winter i might make an instant coffee at work. used to be addicted to energy drinks and cola though. managed to ditch them during a covid lockdown tho;)
Awesome! Thanks for sharing! I used to be addicted to regular soda as a kid and then diet soda after that. Then I decided to just switch to seltzer or water and not be addicted to anything. I will still occasionally have a diet soda at a restaurant but I could take it or leave it. 😊
I went through a phase of that before transitioning to straight coffee. This is not to say that you’ll do the same… different people, different strokes, and so forth. I always liked the smell of coffee as a kid, but not the taste. I would learn later that the quality of coffee I had tried was quite bad, even stale, but kids don’t really like it anyway. In college, I had a choir trip to the Seattle area and our home stay hosts made me a latte, which I very much enjoyed. I even told them I didn’t like coffee and they kinda insisted… and they were right. This led to a phase of any of those mixed coffee drinks like caramel macchiatos, lattes, cappuccinos,, etc., even coffee jelly beans. Eventually I landed on black coffee, especially Americanos, because I didn’t want all the cream, sugar, etc., (and the extra cost!), all the time. But, I get it.
Cool story! Thanks for sharing. I guess Seattle would be the place to really try it. It always reminds me of the movie "Rockstar" with Mark Wahlberg if you've ever seen it? The coffee shop at the end. I don't want to give too much away in case you haven't seen the movie. But it was a great!
@@brandonburum8279 It came out in 2001. It was inspired by the story of Tim "Ripper" Owens who wound of becoming the lead singer of Judas Priest for a bunch of years after Rob Halford. It starred Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston along with some cool cameos by other rockers including Brian Vander Ark from The Verve Pipe who wrote the ending song "Colorful." If you're interested in that period of time where it went from the pinnacle of '80s metal music to '90s grunge It's a really fun watch. Make sure to watch the credits at the end if you see it because they do something pretty funny as well.

The Mocha and Frappe drinks, frozen or with the whipped cream are my favorites 😋
