I would like to see a video on how different bridge designs affect sound, tuning stability and how adjustable they are, what are the drawbacks like tunamatic collapsing etc

Dang, I respect your work ethic and overall thought process when it comes to manufacturing the best guitars, Jeff. You don't skip anything and think of absolutely everything. From sound to engineering.... You're the freakin man!!

Would be interested in a live with examples of the different finish options (esp. including the raw tone). Thanks!

Jeff is 100% right about the evenly sized/spaced laminates creating a very deadened non-resonant tone. I've had a few 5pc maple/walnut necks in the typical Ibanez rgt structure where they use two very thick walnut strips between three near equal pieces of maple. Mine were all very dark and deadened. These are the best guitars ever to use with the emg 81/85 set IMO.

I like all of the main three neck constructions. Never had a set-thru of any brand.

I remember in the Carvin days you could buy a kit that was basically a kit builder, (no paint, etc) for a bolt on guitar , that wasn't a lot of money. It would shit unassembled i think. Seeing all those unfinished parts on the table reminded me of that. Always wanted to get one of those, but never did. Would love to see it return!

I had a Carvin Bolt (circa 2010) that sustained for days. Not sure if it was just a fluke, but no other guitar in my collection ever came close to that one in terms of sustain!

Nope. I bought a new 513 some years back
and the neck had slight warp , 9 months later it had twisted so bad that the high E string was sitting against the fret.

Gonna build me a Keisel soon. It's my fall 2022 goal! Absolutely beautiful guitars. Can't wait to grab my hands on one of these. But I'm having a hard time deciding what pickups I want to use. But I have a legit question. Do all active pickups become passive without a battery???

Question about necks: I was looking at making a 6 string baritone, but is there a 27" option for any of the body types in the builder? I was having trouble finding that with the new builder, but did find 26.5. Would 26.5 also suffice for a 6 string baritone? (B standard). Was also looking for an Evertune option for it as well. \m/ \m/

Looking forward to my single pickup Vader. Was wondering why deleting a pickup costs more? Isn't it just a different CNC program (and Kiesel gets to keep the unused pickup)?

Actually if you have an OFR bridge on a typical neck-thru it is bolted to the body wood, not the neck wood, because it's posts are wider than the neck-thru plank. Some brands do use neck-thru planks that are wider where they pass between the body wings, and in those cases the OFR is indeed bolted into the neck-plank wood. There is definitely a sonic difference between the two plank widths when using an OFR.
