How to run your horse up correctly

How to run your horse up correctly is important for you to learn as the vet or judging panel needs to see how the horse moves. I have seen horses asked to run up again only because the handler did a poor job, this leads to stress as you panic and think you may be vetted out. It can't be taught the morning of your competition so take a couple of sessions and make your horse stride out positively and confidently before you need it.
Remember you wear something smart but sensible to run a horse up in not your riding attire.
Arm number should be on your left arm and the bridle number on the near side of the bridle ( left side when facing the front of the horse)

It is ideal to have bridle tags with your competitor number or to wear your armband number on your left arm.

My horse has been a great calf horse for years ..I was sitting in the top 11 at nationals and he jst stopped working..won't pull anymore . I dunno what changed? Help me pkz.
