Found the info about the Ackerman differences from changing the spindle arm lengths. I'm currently on C, previous years I was on 'old spindles with more than D'. So that's why it feels a lot different in steering now - With these spindles, you can use the spindle arms listed below to further adjust the steering Ackermann. TKR6669D has the most Ackermann and TKR6669A has the least. Our old spindles TKR6553 have even more Ackerman than TKR6669D. More Ackermann provides quicker initial steering response, more initial steering, and is better suited for small tracks with tight corners. Less Ackermann has smoother initial steering response, more mid and exit steering, and typically works well for larger tracks with flowing corners.

question... have you ever ran into getting tiny pebbles in between your spur and pinion. I've been running on outdoor tracks and every few laps it would lock up from a little speckle of a rock. sounds goofy but, I'm starting to feel like I should run it on clay only.

can u run the lcg batteries in this car? ( 5000mah > )

The chassis is designed for shorty packs only, but the battery clip doesn't go super low you might need to add some foam or a mod for LCG shorty to be secure.

I wonder if it had to do with raising the differentials?

Yes I do think that contributed. There is a 2mm gap between the chassis and hinge pins doing that, it's enough for something to hook on it. I've removed the shims during the repair and lowered them back down to chassis level, but kept the rest of the med-grip setup to see how that is.

Just wondering if you used 2MM longer screws when you raised the diffs 2MM? I kept breaking bulk heads until I did this.

Wouldn’t it have been cheaper to just buy a new kit?

Not with just the parts I replaced. I reused many things , almost all screws and many components. Just the highly worn items were replaced. If you want a totally new 100% fresh car, then yes a new kit is cheaper overall.
