A lot of people (especially those outside the UK) thought that Miss UK was forced to reign because the press found out that she was an unwed mother. Actually this is not true at all. Up until that year, Miss World rule only did not allow married women to enter the contest, there was no rule against an unwed mother entering the contest. Miss World organization knew about her single mother status when she won the Miss UK contest. She resigned because shortly she won the Miss World title, it was discovered that she was involved in a divorce legal case in which she was named as “the other woman”. She resigned because she did not want to face the pressure of the scrutiny of her private life. She was never forced to resign. In fact, she got to keep her Miss UK title and crowned her successor in the Miss UK contest in the following year. Nevertheless, Miss World organization did change the rule in the following year disallowing single mothers to enter the contest to avoid any similar scandal.

miss universe 1974 cannot fullfil her duties because she wanted to focus on acting career, in the same year helen morgan won the miss world contest, so the 1974 miss universe title could not be given to her, and miss universe title was empty for a year

OMG! The man backstage, who was giving away the crowns and sash, was so rude! He was not giving the girls even a seconds time to rejoice at their victory!

That is false, the rules were not at fault. The Morleys did not have a single mother clause, so Helen was able to participate. Helen RESIGNED the title because the press was very persistent with her case and a woman pointed to her as the culprit for her divorce. She ultimately stayed with the title of Miss United Kingdom and was the most successful in the entire history of Miss UK. She even beat Anneline Kriel who was rejected a few times for the political problem of Apartheid

Fair is fair. Repsect goes both ways. There are reasons for rules, but one of the reasons in the pageants is to narrow down the field and numbers of entrants. That is why it is "Miss" as in single. Plus a Miss is traditionally without children, who she must put first. Miss Wales disregarded the requirements and disrespected the pageant organizations (including her national organization), and dishonesty is not a trait of a beauty queen. She lied twice - at Miss Universe and at Miss World. Then she denied a special crowning moment for Miss South Africa.
