      Cro Mags and this album irreversibly mixed metal and hardcore. SOD members a brilliant mix. Bassist was Anthrax's bassist originally. Singer Milano at the start was mixed in NYHC since late 70s. They were already well schooled. Written and recorded in 3 days, you feel the rush, urgency, and intensity in the whole, genius record.

    Al jorgenson of Ministry credits this record as his main influence to add heavy guitars to his band

      Also very heavily influenced by the first Exodus record, even the vocals!

    Anyone else think SOD is better than Anthrax?

    • @erhanyigit8539
      @erhanyigit8539 Před 7 lety +91

      I think Anthrax desires its place on big4. Everybody talks about ''Anthrax is bullshit and they are shitting fucked shitty music'' Anthrax is a reason for many bands to grab guitar and play motherfuckers

      Erhan Yiğit Hell yeah anthrax is amazing, but I like SOD a bit better because of how over the top and unnecessary they are while still being great music

    This album still puts me in the most “get shit DONE” mood ever, the same as it did back in 1987. Greatest album ever put on wax.

    This was my playlist along with The Mentors, Anthrax and Suicidal in 87..had a music teacher who would let us bring in our walkmans and listen to music of our choice. This is one of the most underrated albums of all time..
