If I ever had kids, I swear I would buy EVERYTHING and ANYTHING they needed for the school year. I’m serious. Teachers should not have to pay for their supplies out of pocket. They make slave wages they shouldn’t have to spend their only money. Teachers are the backbone of America. They teach out kids. Without teachers we would be fcked. Thank you Mary for supporting your teachers! You are amazing. You have no idea how thankful the teachers must be 🙂

of course the teachers shouldn't by it? They are just working there, but the school on the other hand should, because every family does not have the same amount of money
@@melinapetersen4377 schools get their funding from the state and federal government. If you aren’t happy with the amount they are contributing TALK TO THEM. Not my fault. All we can do as parents is try to contribute as much as we can to these teachers.
Oh I wish some one like you were helping me. Where I'm from there is no support system like this because right know in this pandemic its so hard for me to buy a pack of pencils for my daughter. So I commend you for helping these 3 families or individuals bless your heart

Mary I love watching you on CZcams. Been watching for a while I love the role plays you do including the grumpy librarian. Anyway what you are doing for those needly family's is wonderful. One of my moms friends who lives in Virginia Beach, she's a retired School social worker for the state of Virginia Beach. She used to go to the store and get the needy families like school supplies or backpacks of stuff that they needed for school.
It was nice of you to dress the way that the young girl would like from the color theme.

I never realised how demanding US schools are with supplies… in our UK high schools we were always just left to get our pens and a calculator if it was needed, everything else was provided or optional (i.e. folders). Younger then that we were given everything by the school.
I know it feels like she's buying stuff for the whole school
@@rinkyasmr1361 Watching her other videos it does seem like much of this is just for the classroom generally, which is crazy to me. UK schools are responsible for everything the classroom needs, and teachers only pay out of pocket for things that aren’t necessary (I.e. stickers and prizes).
Some teachers are demanding, wanting specific colors and specific kinds of notebooks, but a lot of those items are for the class. Some people will buy them and some wont. We didn't buy a lot of that stuff because we knew we wouldn't need or use it and because it was too expensive to buy all those items for the 3 of us. Any germ-x (hand sanitizer), tissues, crayons/color pencils, paper, etc. that we bought was gonna be for us. The reason they ask for it is because the school doesnt provide things like germ-x, tissues, crayons, etc. And if the kids need them but nobody brought any, then the teacher would usually end up buying them themselves, and they really can't afford it. There are kids who will show up with nothing, so teachers usually ask for more than necessary so that there's enough to go around. Our education system here is overall pretty bad for a first world country.

It’s okay to be scared! I graduated 6 years ago and looking back I wish I had gotten more involved and participated in more clubs and sports. High school is what you make of it! (:

Everybody was like that before transitioning to high school! 💗 it’s not that bad you’ll be fine there’s more freedom in high school in my opinion lol because for me you could go off campus during lunch which was pretty cool 😎 but don’t sweat it! 💗
Don’t be scared everything will be fine just make sure you stick to a crowd that suits you best. Not one that will apply peer pressure into doing things you’re not comfortable with. Be yourself.

hi i live in the uk and was wondering how this all works. do you know this family personally, is it a random family local to you or is it a random family you’re allocated to anywhere in the country and you send it off to them?
My family used to do things like this. It’s either usually a family you know or a family friend. You can also get names from like the local police stations.

Same here in Canada we don’t have very many schools that require uniforms anymore like a lot of schools don’t require uniforms anymore I’m not in school anymore like I’m not in high school and I’m not in grade school because I graduated from both of them already but I am going to college next year but yeah we don’t have uniform very much anymore I think there’s one school I know that’s near me that has uniforms maybe two schools

Alright hold up! I tried looking through the comments but there was no doing. What's with the tissues and the disinfectant wipes? O.o Like why are those included under school supplies? (I'm from Europe and am genuinely confused xD)
This is what I understand (I’m from the UK) the supplies are not for the individual kid about 60% of it is for the teachers/class. Teachers in the US have to buy their own supplies otherwise they don’t get anything. A list is sent home to parents some of them buy and some of them don’t but if most do then the class will have enough supplies for the school year if they don’t have enough then the teacher actually buys the supplies themselves.
@@kelliebrady5512 I don't even know what to say about that O_O I'm from Denmark, and here disinfectant wipes aren't used by the teachers like this, they're used by the cleaning staffs, and supplied by whichever company sources those, paid by the school...

They are intended to be used to supply the classroom in general. A lot of parents either can't or won't supply these items, and unfortunately, the schools don't, either. If we don't supply them, the teachers often end up having to buy these things with their own money. It's screwed up, but that's the way it is. The more money they dump into "education," the less they actually seem to have for useful purposes.
