the thing is, the makers tried to make 3 idiots as realistic as possible... u know, parental pressure, thirst of knowledge vs. ratta baazi... they took realistic topics, and hence, the film's characters had to be realistic also... this was Karena;s best performance till date, and that to because she looked real.... young ppl experiment at their age, and kareena's character looked real cauz they showed how Pia was also experimenting.. the nose ring, and kajjal, and her owning a scooter...
She didn't hide the fact of sindhi dialogue with her mom.. . Which she could have done... but as being a real person she never thght people would connect this with racism or nepotism
Well I'm an Indian and I don't think beauty should be only when you are fair. But sometimes, having a lighter complexion does affect your beauty. But I guess thats just my personal opinion doesn't mean WE INDIANS ARE RACISTS! So you should think twice before you comment something like that!
Its more like the culture. No one really knows about "racism" in asia (like brown people).So its not like "oh white people sucks" or "black people sucks", I think they both have beautiful hair and black people have pretty lips :).
