Actually for the promotional shorts on Mega's CZcams I believe they hired Kooberz, the guy that made the Lego Halo film Battle for the Brick back in the day. He's got behind the scenes videos on his channel about it. Definitely worth checking out.
He IS a professional animator now, he worked on Robot Chicken like three times now
