  • The historian and writer Kate Williams asks how today's class society is affecting the British society. Why are Britons obsessed with their royals and why is the desire to graduate in Oxford so inexhaustible? Is the subclass on its way up or is the bottom of society still falling further down? We'll take a trip from London to Oxford and to Kate Williams' grandparents in Wales.
Original title: Het Groot-Brittanië va Kate Williams
In my Britain... we see the island through the eyes of five quirky British people in 5 different episodes, each from a different place in Britain. Britain, once a world power, is increasingly falling back on itself. A large part of the British do not see salvation in the European Union and want to get rid of Europe. In Scotland, a large proportion of the population want to separate themselves from the rest of Britain. Where is the island drifting to? Where does it belong? Who are the British? With these five extraordinary guides, we are looking for the answers.

Hello Kate! Completely thrilled to find your youtube sites and, on occasion, to find myself surprised when you show up in other history projects with your informed and educative comments. I will never forget the British Library experience and meeting you there. I am learning from you in my pursuit of writing history - in Uganda! I look forward to sharing with you the history link between Uganda and Wales. Message me at @aedwardiansea, please. Keep well and safe in present-day London. Edward

One of the most unequal society? What we're the data sets? Reality does not seem to bear that out. Imho

Then you have failed to learn the lesson interwoven with the Brexit reality. It is the inequality in your country that has led to the upset that is being misunderstood as xenophobia. It is really growing socio-economic insecurity and indeed the statistics bare this out.
