- In this video, I teach you the basics of flat stitch, also known as bead applique or bead embroidery. This is the single needle technique that I show you using large pony beads as a visual aid then again with size 8/0 seed beads.
I'm using these big pony beads to demonstrate, they're great for practicing your technique before using tiny seed beads: kit.co/thewholenessshop/beadi...

Thank you for this video. You are an amazing teacher! I've watched a lot and yours is so easy to understand. I am so glad to see you are still making videos.!
Thank you so much ❤
A year late but thank you! I have always wanted to learn how to do this! This is one of the simplest tutorials I have found!
Excellent video! Thank you for using the big beads first to be able to see!
Super helpful video, just a newbie with hand stitching so this was great
This was super helpful! I really appreciate this video!
So, while you're beading (forgive me if this is a stupid question) you only use one string to bead. Correct? You didn't tie the ends together, so it looks like 2 strings. (If that makes sense)
Yep, that's correct. One string that's not tied so the beads can go around the needle
why 6 beads at the start is that the maximum you should do at one time or is there no limit?
6 beads is the max that I would work with at once using the single needle method. More is a bit too much to manage and keep neat. However, I prefer two needle method which allows for more beads at once. It’s a bit more tricky though.
what size needle please?
What kind of thread can you use?
Nymo beading thread works well :)
What kind of fabric is this?
It’s called Pellon it’s a stabilizer :)
