Profound!!👏👏
Never Heard Anything Truer!
@Tayo seems you're a big fan of korty. You always comment. Even thou you're a big CZcamsr yourself. ✌️🏾
She said that exactly when I was reading this comment 🥹
ASA said fame is a side effect of your good work and it hit hard.
Korty does it! 👏
And Tayo does it also. Lol Love you too Tayo.

Like always!
“Don’t worry about fame now, Fame is a side effect of your good work”
-Asa 2022
Wow!..You are Always Interesting ..i love the last statement and I copy.. Good Job KORTY
I thought I was the only one that heard that.
What can be more encouraging than to be real always?...
Thanks @Korty.
Absolutely the exact reason why I take it slow with my music. It’s not about the fame, but about the impact you create in others and the world at large. Just like the Legend herself, Asa❤️
Hi, I am a young man from Syria, and I worship beautiful women. I hope to find a middle-aged black queen who owns a dog and a slave. I am a trainer, and I have many experiences. I want a beautiful queen, or any family or queen residing in Syria.
Korty goes out of questions and Asa takes over..that’s some legendary moment 🔥. It was great to watch.
As in
This is so therapeutic. As a kid who listened to Asa when everyone else around me preferred something else and Nigeria music wasn’t this diverse, she was that one string of sanity who made me feel it’s okay to be different. I’m so glad to see the world embrace her more and more and appreciate her art.
This is beautiful
Same here🥺
Same here
Nor be only you listen to asa o, we plenty
Same here .
Embracing being different
I listened to Asa while growing up, and this is the first interview I watched until the end. So peaceful.
I really like this episode of Flow. I think it's because it's Asa. I could relate to everything she said about herself.
Thanks for the video Korty!
Me too... The calmness was everything
Same here, her songs were a Jam when i was much younger
@@AbdussalamPopoola her is still a jam up till now, I've been listening to her music for years yet it doesn't fade in my ear, I feel inspired whenever I listen to her song
Asa🥰
I still get laughed at for still choosing to listen to her type of music but do I care 🤣
It was back in 2009 and a friend of mine had just returned from Nigeria, and he brought the “Jailer” album. He was playing the entire album and I listened to the first song I heard then (Fire on the Mountain) and for some reason, the very first 16 words that starts the song was enough to get my attention. I listened to the song and I broke down. The reasons I broke down were so many because I was putting the song into perspective. I had my own interpretation of everything she’s saying in the son.
Now, let’s take it back a little. I was borne and raised by a single mother, but most importantly, my grandmother. I was still in high school and didn’t have anyone to help me with my tuition, so like most kids in Africa (Liberia) I had to sell in the streets risking and missing out on a lot of things as it relates to my childhood. My father had passed when I was about nine years old, my mother didn’t go to college, my grandmother didn’t have any formal education. I knew no family member overseas to ask for help and life wasn’t as promising as I could say it is right now. So my interpretation of “Fire On The Mountain“ was customary to my realities at the time, which was to say, another young kid’s future is about to be cut off and no one is even seeing it. Not to forget, my country (Liberia) had just ended about 14 to 16 years of civil war and the entire youthful population future was (if not still) unclear as to what tomorrow would bring. So me hearing this song, I tell you no lie, God is my witness, I cried like a baby. I was like, how can someone way at far sing to my soul and realities? But later did I know, that’s the truth purpose of arts or creativity in music.
From that day on, the entire “Jailer” album has been my go to album when I need to listen to good songs. I would listen to Subway, Bibanke, Eye Adaba, 360 degrees, So Beautiful, Awe and the rest. Thanks for inspiring generations. You’re blessed. I also get it when you said you’re not religious, that’s my view on life as well.
I hope to meet with you some day. I may not have the words to say if we do meet, but just meeting with someone like you means a lot. There are a lot of great inspirational people like you out there and it’s my prayer that I get to chance to meet you guys if fate permits.
Whoever you are, I genuinely hope you are okay and you heal.
Hugs and kisses 💋.Her Songs speaks to the Soul. I really love them
Sending you hugs, Ernest 🫂😘
@@okaforvianney3200 Yes, by His stripes I’m healed and doing better. Thanks for the thoughts.
this is the best thing I have seen today. Continue succeeding
Girl!!! I'm not sure what you did to get this interview cos she is soooo private!!! All I can say is you are blessed!!! Keep it up girl.. We proud of your growth. ❤️❤️❤️
ASA Is one of the best in Nigeria 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Two of my fav people in the whole world!!!!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭 alsoooo THE VIBESSS ARE IMMACULATE
The odditty is here 😍
Sofi😭❤
You watch her too
@@utsuagnesasheley1436 I’m a fan ooo
Oddy 🙌
How she clips different scenes and it connects chronologically with the questions shes asking is one thing that baffles. A lot of hard work she puts into this and it's so beautiful to watch.
This!!!
And it's beautiful to watch, her kind of angles is different ❤️
I'm a video editor, this is tasky!
Aswear
Her editing is pro level. I noticed from the very beginning
Asa’s house is giving me Jamaican vibe . Her house looks like her and her music . Everything surrounding her depicts her style and person and I love that for her 🥰
And I love it, her aura is so diverse.... amazing
Just simple and it's really peaceful...✅
She’s such an amazing articulate intelligent and open minded individual. “I’m not religious because maybe I don’t have enough understanding or I believe that God has already given us everything we need” she never assumes she has all the answers or demonizes peoples systems of belief in God. I love that answer ♥️
Asa talks from a place of balanced peace with herself,it’s so spiritually enticing 💨
Korty doesn't fake it, she makes interviews look like reality and that's why she is loved ❤️
Asa is literally the definition of "Dare to be different". Her inner voice has really led her well..
7:08 “The mind is such a vast well of ideas that if you don't put them out, you lose them.” - Asa
I love how well she put these words together so accurately. 👏🏾
"Parents can discipline but don't know what their kids are doing."
So relatable to the current crisis on ground. I had a conversation yesterday and the person kept saying I would never have thought you do this if you didn't mention it. Of course.
It's really not about how strict or thorough parenting is. It's God's grace simply.
This is it...
Yes it is possible especially if the discipline here is just all about being so strict and godly that your children can not get close to you. Little children and teenagers need more than just discipline, they need someone that can come to their level and vibe with them sometimes and make them feel comfortable to talk.
Parenting is less about “discipline” and more about VALUES. Bequeath kids with great values (not “church” values) and you can rest easier.
Meanwhile, most Nigerians do not even fully grasp the real concept of discipline, which is more internal than external.
Yep... It's God's grace. But you have a role to play in it too as a parent. What parents don't do right is when they are only bent on discipline. It makes the child to shy away from that parent whenever the child has concerns he/she doesn't understand. Talking sense into the child goes a very long way. May times longer than mere discipline. When your child knows he/she can talk to you, it makes them everly ready to listen to you. That's what wikl grow them in the "right path" the path set by you the parent.
You're so on point
Love how the scene changes and the interview is still going on,idk how to explain and I don't know how she does it but it gives me chills 🥺
You getttt. Like each scene flows into the other
🥺❤️
“I have never been heartbroken…I’ve been disappointed.” I couldn’t possibly relate more! In this breakfast era, we don’t talk about this enough.
This interview was so organic. Doesn’t feel forced or rehearsed and I just love everything about it
Flow, is actually the PERFECT name for this series! I love how Korty does not impose on Asa but let’s her and tbh all her interviewees, tell their story! It’s refreshing
The fact she started asking you questions showed it wasn’t only one sided it was two people trying to discover themselves
Truly, Asa is amazing
Asa's song MOVING ON helped me overcome suicide in 2018. forever grateful for her gift. Thank you Korty for sharing
For so many years I've been "obsessed" with ASA's lyrics, voice and standard. I keep telling people ASA won't die until I see her. Not like she's Christ, but because she speaks me, writes me and sings me, even without me seeing her.
i FEEL you. i really do. that's ME too
This will definitely hit a million views very soon... apart from the fact that Asa is an international super star and an accomplished artist is also because alot of people me included don't know anything about the woman her life is basically a mystery to us and this pieac of Art that you call a video just answered alot questions about this wonderful woman. Thank you Korty
Her response to the question “would you go back to change anything in your early music days?” Is so reassuring and I don’t know why
She’s so calm and peaceful just like her music ❤️
Wow, people said her music was horrible 😳
I'm so glad she continued ❤️. Love her songs. Have always loved it
“God has given us everything we need”. This really is the truth. When one finally understands this truth, they will never look at life the same way.
I'm not sure Korty knows how much of a blessing she is to every filmmaker in Nigeria. Each video you put out serves as a reminder that we can do anything we want and it's truly inspiring. Thank you Korts. Keep going. ❤
Korty was blushing all through. She was soo respectful, cos I’m sure It felt soo great 😊 being around a legend. I’m glad for you korty
She is very unconventional and that is what makes her unique. Love
You're very correct ✌️✌️
There’s a book by Sefi Atta called “Swallow”, set in the 60s. Asa’s home and that view by the ocean is perfectly reminiscent of the house as described in that book. I’m in awe.
I understand this. I get the same feeling reading Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Sefi Attah's everything good will come reflects this setting as well
There's a film adaptation of the book on Netflix called Swallow, directed by Kunle Afolayan.
Not sure the waterfront was captured there but its still a great watch.
Absolutely! I read “Swallow”. Yes!!!
@@foodspluslove8380 about to order it
I’m so teary, using my last card to watch this piece of art by two fuckn geniuses has never been so worth it.... this is pure Gold 🥺❤️
🥺❤️
Artists like this ASA have everlasting earning power...... Even at 80 pple will still listen to her sing. The stage will always feed her.
I love love this episode ❤️❤️. Over the years, people would see my playlist- I can safely say I have 98%of her songs 😃-and say it’s weird and sad...🙂🙃what they didn’t know is Asa’s songs literally help me out of a depressive phase..... I always wondered why people thought her songs were sad when they always gave me peace, singing along and even helped conquer my insomnia..... Now I figure a number of those people don’t really listen... so I hope she sees this.... THANK YOU 😊😊❤️❤️❤️...
Korty is not a conventional film maker. Her approach is vastly different from what we are used to. I love the homely, be-vulnerable, informal angle she takes. It’s just conversations and flow. Great job Korty.
“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”. I just love this quote so much. That’s what defines Korty. The calmness, intelligence and structure is what makes you unique. I’ve been following for a while and can see the trajectory. Hard work and smart work pays. Keep them coming. This direction of the channel is great, it’s diverse and I really love the interviews of great minds. Secrets of men/women are in their stories. Keep on sharing amazing stories. Well done sis.
I really love how korty makes us relate with artists on a human level. Allows us to see behind the person in front of the camera on a reliable level. It's an inspiration
You’re like a breath of fresh air. This interview was like a breath of fresh air and I’ve never really been big on Asa’s music(please don’t come for me) , but I like her personality and quiet confidence. It’s so important to be firm in who you are and what you want.
one minute into this episode and I can relate so much to Asa already, living by the water, the calmness and quiet, the art and beauty of her home, everything I want literally.
Co-sign… especially the living by the water part 🥰
@@NikeThaddeus I swear down. The peace and serenity 🧘♂️ is divine. If you get a place by the waters please hit me up to see if I have also. If I haven't then you've got yourself a housemate. Don't worry, I'm more like a funiture and invisible

ASA is so rich and never brags about her wealth.
I swear!
Asa is like the sunset 🌇 you see it everyday and it brings different feelings everytime.
I love your edits korty, am happy you're having beautiful experiences and also fulfilling your dreams. That what matters to me in life, HAPPINESS.
Korty brings a therapeutic aura that makes her guests feel relaxed and open to speak. Well done Korty! Brands are coming for you.
Ngl Asa made me fall in love with the Yoruba language and culture. I just can’t get enough of her art!😭
I love how simple and free she is...and Korty always makes her guest comfortable, you can actually feel them connecting, that's rad!
Yeahh this!
you can see so much of Asa's impact on Korty's way of life too. Different yet Similar
Love this video
The part that got me was when she said that she wouldn't want to change anything from her past because she didn't know what she knows now, but if she messes up from now on, it will be her fault.
Man. That word is deep. So deep bro. I've always been beating myself up because of my past mistakes and missed opportunities. But hearing those words really brought peace to my soul.
I remember reading Joey Akan's interview with Asa, it made me paint mental pictures and I was inspired. Asa is always disbursing clean energy! Great one Korty!!! I love it!
Asa: “Loving is the best thing, you know”
Korty: 🤷🥴😬
😂😂❤️
I totally saw that too.😄😄
Korty knows how to do her things, so simple, catchy, meaningful and natural.
You're unique gurl.
listening to her talk is as peaceful and soothing as her music
It’s really admirable when someone owns up to their flaws and not try to hide it. Asa said “I am the queen of procrastination”.
When she said “loving is the best thing,y’know?” The look on Korty’s face like she can’t relate😂💀
😂😂😂
Honestly...korty was surprised 🤣😂😂
Just when I complained she hasn't dropped a new video she surprised me. Thank you 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥰

Haven't watched yet, but this is probably going to be my best episode of yours yet, because I feel like you and Asa are kindred spirits.
I love Asa's space, her ambiance look peaceful and heavenly just like her music... thanks Korty for letting us know these artist more than just their music
Beautiful ❤❤
I love what Asa does and I want her to keep on doing it. I was 6 when her first album came out but it change or rather shaped the way I think. I would like to thank her for that
Allow people to critique your work; fame is a side effect of your good works!
Wow! Honestly, this interview was so wholesome, peaceful, and just keeps you glued. Great work on manifesting Korty.
This is indeed therapeutic, I love how genuine and original she is , I see so much of korty in asa for some reasons...I love asa too much and I also love how korty let the guest take over the interview
Asa and Korty twinning with the hair and tee😂❤️
This was well made can't lie, connected heavenly with Asa on this, and korty big ups as always.
Haven't seen a freelance journalist this free with questions before. Heart to heart talk this is
I listened to Asa growing up, this interview made me love her more. I just love the way she lives her life, lets just say I’m her biggest fan. Thank you korty 😊
Absolutely loved this interview! I’m actually surprised ASA is so free spirited but makes me love her even more ❤️ well done Korty!!
I loved the part where Korty said she had run out of questions and Asa turned the tables and did the asking. The whole interaction felt so natural. I enjoyed watching it.
Asa, My elder brother's favorite 💜
And I love her so much💜💜💜
Whenever I need affirmations and encouragement, I come back to this video. Too beautiful
Korty asks questions at the perfect moment without making the other person feel uncomfortable enough to answer
That’s not knowledge, it’s wisdom 💛
Asa is and always will be my first love. She's one artiste that inspires me effortlessly, her music was a huge part of my growing up years. Thanks so much Korty for this.
We need more people like Asa,she’s unconventional yet relatable.
Great job Korty💞
I love Asa and her music. Everything about her is unconventional and profound and I can relate to it.
I’ve always always always loved Asa soul music. Every new phone I got then, the Asa album was always in it
This was so much fun to watch, and Asa’s music in the background was just another reminder that she’s actually nobody’s mate
There’s a level of satisfaction and peace of mind I had just watching this video, I guess it was all I wanted at this time in my life……. Thanks Korty❤️🔥
ASA feels like comfort. So comfortable and relaxed.
was a nice watch, keep it coming korty
Steven !!!
To have been an Asa fan for as long as I have had a memory of being into music. This feels so good. Not disappointed one bit.
Everything I imagined Asa might have been + MORE.
She’s so entrancing. Wow what a joy to watch, it’s like art.
I envy her home and the environment🥹🥲omg the peace‼️😍
I can relate with Asa so much when it comes to the friends thing, it’s great to be friends with people who you can really trust
This is a dream come true ...I’ve always listened to asa...and she speaks exactly the way her music has been speaking to me all these years...immaculately...thank you☯️
She's so free spirited. I love it!!
This is deep and touches deep down the soul, its almost surreal. Korty can be entertaining and philosophical at the same time. As a man i almost cried at some point watching this video. Thank you Korty for the amazing things way you tell stories
One thing I enjoy about Korty's videos is the "flow". No pressure unlike most interviews.
Korty is so structured and intentional with her questions and on the other hand, I found Asa's answers quite interesting and I love the way she speaks like she's singing!. Procrastination and overthinking is something I'm also trying to overcome. It's how you wanted to make a video with her and you eventually did ❣👏
Inspirational, therapeutic is all I hear through out the video, if only younger youth famous or not can watch or listen to those words she speaks in her music and interviews as a whole I bet you alot will change. I like good music and with ASA you never complain. A good music is something that never get old, therapeutic, emotional mix with everything life offers. ASA is exceptional.
Her house, her dog, Ásà, Korty; this is such a soothing video.
is like she's talking to an older version of herself, they are so weird personality wise and its really cool
I've missed Asa ...I knew her music since when I was a kid...I thought she stopped singing 😭❤️ ...love everything about her ...the way she talks,,her music... Totally exceptional 🔥❤️ ... Thank you Korty for This ❤️❤️Love your Channel... Keep it up
Listen to her latest album V
I have been listening to Asa from her first album, Asha. This is more like a conversation than an interview. It makes the artist feel relaxed. I like korty style.
But I feel there should be more revealing questions… like the case of Asa for example…,
- how did you gain so much audience in France?
- what will you call your genre of music?
-
Oh My World...I long for this peaceful style of living. Her aura is cozy and inviting!
Asha is Osha of our time💯💯
You’re an unstoppable force!!! And everything you do is a masterpiece
Asa has such a beautiful mind. She's a philosopher for sure and I would love to sit down with her one day.
I don't know why I'm emotional watching this.
Korty is literally a prophet.
Korty, your art is divine and your talent is matchless
I enjoyed your editing. It's innovative, the cuts, and how you change location and the conversation seems to flow. I like it.
Yo!! Dreams are valid. I'm so happy for Korty. I hope she reaches anything at all she aims for in her career path❤️
This is phenomenal!
How can you take us on a journey so well?
You’re excellent korty.💐
Absolutely LOVED this. Such a refreshing way to have the conversation.
This is one of the best interviews I’ve ever watched. It felt so inviting and it breathes.. not stuff like many traditional interviews.
I’m subscribing and going to explore Asa’s music now!💛💛💛
I love people that love love. You can tell from her music that she throws herself in 100% and enjoys doing so
