Film Synopsis:
In the early eighties, kids all over the US flocked to Showbiz Pizza for the rides, games, and animatronic rock band, The Rock-afire Explosion. Created by 23-year-old prodigy Aaron Fechter, The Rock-afire Explosion amazed children and adults alike before being mysteriously pulled from showrooms and replaced by the now popular Chuck-E-Cheese in the early nineties.
Nearly twenty years later, still profoundly affected by his experience at Showbiz Pizza, small-town disc-jockey Chris Thrash sought out Fechter and purchased a Rock-afire band of his own. Some clever programming on Chris' part, and the band was once again performing for millions, this time on CZcams.
The Rock-afire Explosion reveals how Chris came to revive this fallen 80's gem, explores his and a number of other fan's obsessions with the animatronic band, and chronicles the rise and fall of Showbiz Pizza and what was once a 20 million dollar per-year venture for inventor Aaron Fechter. More than this, the film is a look at the importance of nostalgia, ever-changing media culture, and the eternal quest to stay young.

That explains why he is so overprotective with the rock a fire band
He says in the video that it wasn't his idea or invention. He basically helped fix someone else's invention. He doesn't deserve anything.
@@zippymufo9765 That is not necessarily true, Aaron still recreated the mechanism, recreated the creatures, came up with the name, and did what those men at the convention could not. He at least deserves the mainstream title of inventing the Whack-A-Mole.
@@coastercrowd9054The owners of Whack A Mole offered to meet with him to discuss his claim and he never followed up on it. Sounds to me like it's a story with no proof behind it.

I've always been a Whac-A-Mole fan, and I was even thinking of buying one, but they turned out to be too expensive. Anyway, I have thinking about building my own Whac-A-Mole (an electronic one) for use as a sparring partner, and I just stumbled across this site. Talk about serendipity. What great find for a Whac-A-Mole fan. I hope i'm as lucky in finding plans for building one for myself.

Why does everyone want to steal from Aaron? (The Rock afire explosion, and now his Wack -a- mole?) What has Aaron ever done to them?
I didn't even kno what this name called till tonight. I was watching a boy beating some pipes in school and read he'll be better at whack-a-mole so I looked it up
There are lots of reasons. But that doesn’t make it right anyway.
I've always had a sneaky suspicion that you originally created that game. I got this suspicion when I had to fully restore several of them back in 2010 for an event company that I was running... I even said to my partner that " hey this looks a bit like the rock-afire explosion mechanics".
