As a 30 year gout sufferer (71 YO), I found the following:
Gout can be in any joint of the body - however most prevalent in the big toe.
I had one attack in neck, many others in various joints.
MD treatment and pharma meds on a daily basis did not stop my gout attacks. Gave up this strategy after about 3 years.
Avoiding high purine foods and alcohol did not stop my attacks.
Exercise and natural remedies helped more than any of the above. My daily cocktail was and still is:
Dark cherry juice, turmeric, ACV, celery seed, fresh lemon juice w/pulp, cinnamon, black pepper.
Even with the above cocktail the attacks become more frequent with age.
Keto diet stopped all pain and swelling in 10 days.
After that I switched from Keto to High Fat/Low Carb diet.
Now, after 4 months, gout and related symptoms are still gone.
I eat many foods that are on the DO NOT EAT if you have gout lists. Asparagus, mushrooms, pork, bacon, red meats, etc.
Still drink some beer but in lesser amounts and it's low carb.
Weight has decreased by 13 lbs. (now at ideal weight for my height)
Blood pressure has decreased from ~150/78 to 120/71.
    Sleep is much better.....
    SUGAR is the ENEMY.

    • @LastTrump7
      @LastTrump7 Před měsícem

@@driftx2 it’s the way your body don’t get rid of Uric acid…that causes gout. Anything that has a lot of purines in it raises Uric acid. Red meat, fish, seafood, organ meat, beer….a keto diet….etc..I am 67 years old and have had gout probably at least once a year for twenty years….mostly in my big toe or ankles. Either foot. Prednisone will normally stop the worst pain in about 3-5 days but takes awhile for your foot to get back to normal with zero pain. I am average weight. 5’ 7” male 158-168 lbs. Any injury to your foot can cause a flare up. Riding a bicycle or turing my ankle will sometimes bring a flare up on. Doing squats or putting a lot of pressure on your feet will definitely aggravate it. At your age I would definitely talk to your doctor about getting your Uric acid down either through diet or medication because years of gout attacks especially that long will do harm to the bones in your feet, knees and sometimes hands. It has more to do with the way your kidneys don’t get rid of the Uric acid then it does about your weight though being overweight does make it worst it is not the cause as you can see in your case.

The reason why grains cause inflammation in the body is because they are not human foods. Natural human foods do not require any processing just like all the foods of every single animal in this world. Grains like wheat have to be milled into a flour, combined with yeast, and cooked to achieve some form of digestion. Grains are survival foods for humans, not foods that the human organism can Thrive off of. Grains were created for birds and not humans. When in a survival situation, grains can sustain you but consuming grains for a prolonged period of time will inevitably cause dis-ease for everyone and anyone in the long run sine they are not human foods. Fruits, vegetables, nuts and herbs are our natural life-giving foods. Eating cooked foods are processed foods are decaying foods. The only other animal that eats decaying foods are scavengers. By eating dead foods, the human moves from the top to the bottom. If you ever wonder why there is so much death and disease in this world, you will find its source in the foods they eat. ✨Peace ✨Love✨ Harmony✨

There are several ideas for treating gout naturally
Thanks for your informative post, here area few more tips for a home remedy for gout...
    1) Apple cider vinegar, apple cider vinegar is also used to treat stomach acid and headaches but what a lot of people don’t know is that it can also be used to help treat gout and arthritis. The acidity in apple cider vinegar will help relieve acute pain.
    2) Ginger root, The anti-inflammatory properties present in ginger root can be very helpful in relieving pain and inflammation. There are many ways to use ginger root in the treatment of gout.
    3) Baking soda, One significant factor contributing to gout is an increase of uric acid in the body. Baking soda can help reduce the amount of uric acid, giving you relief from the pain.
    4) Lemon juice, To get relief from gout pain, it is essential to alkalize the body and neutralize the excess uric acid in blood stream. This can be done easily with baking soda and fresh lemon juice Along with lemon juice, also eat other fruits rich in vitamin C to strengthen the body tissues.

I first experienced gout pain in both my big toes but mainly the right about 4 years ago and had a couple of flair ups in a year but didn't know what it was at the time thought I'd banged it or poor fitting shoes. It got a lot worse to the point of 1 attack every month lasting around a week. I also had urinary problems (stingy wee) By the time I got to see my doctor the attacks had subsided so blood tests came up border line for uric acid. Until a specialist confirmed it was gout and could take medication for the rest of my life. I was unprepared to do this and looked a little deeper into alternative ways to eliminate not mask the problem. I have been free of gout now for 3 months and my solution was the following. Apple cider vinegar 2tbs. 1/8tsp of borax. Sour cherry and apple juice 300ml in a litre of distilled water 5 days a week drunk throughout the working day. Supplements also chanca piedra and magnesium citrate. Vitamins d, b12, c, turmeric, glucosamine. Avoid purin foods, fatty foods cut back on alcohol especially wine. Odd beer at the weekend. I'm not saying this would work for others but seems to be doing the trick for me but give it time but the results have been fairly rapid. Chanca piedra flushes the liver and kidneys and breaks up the crystals, think this this has been the key player tbh.

Most antibiotics recommended by GP are animal based (contains animal products & also tested on animals) and as a VEGAN, I could not consume them and was suffering from GOUT for over 20 days. Now I eat 1 stem of celery and 1 spoon of turmeric each day to ensure that GOUT does not return back. There are a few suggestions for solving gout naturally
That was a very interesting post, here area few more tips for a home remedy for gout...
      1) Apple cider vinegar, apple cider vinegar is also used to treat headaches and stomach acid, but what a lot of people don’t know is that it can also be used to help treat arthritis and gout. The acidity in apple cider vinegar will help relieve acute pain.
      2) Ginger root, The anti-inflammatory properties present in ginger root can be very helpful in relieving inflammation and pain There are many ways to use ginger root in the treatment of gout.
      3) Baking soda, One significant factor contributing to gout is an increase of uric acid in the body. Baking soda can help lower the amount of uric acid, giving you relief from the pain.

I saw one doctor on the internet argue that your body produces massive amounts of uric acid naturally so there is very little one can do to reduce uric acid in the blood. Furthermore he contends that it is a myth that uric acid causes gout. He contends that gout is inflammation caused by sucrose. Personally, I found that for those of us poor sods who are predisposed to gout attacks, ANYTHING that disrupts your usual metabolic processes can trigger an attack. There are those who eat healthy and exercise and still get attacks. Eating healthy and exercising does not mean that your body cannot be exposed to a stress that can cause a gout attack.

Why do you recommend avoiding carb but recommended eating fruit?
It’s the fructose in fruit that breakdown into uric acid which in the acidic environment in your body that form monosodium urate crystals that deposited in the joint that cause gout.
Glucose from grain can be use by the body for energy and it does not breakdown into uric acid.

Second, stay away from salted pork, like that sweet one many people celebrate the holidays with..... Have you ever just mindlessly gorged yourself with peanuts??? Peanuts (high protein) are a killer for me. Lastly, this is not a natural cure, but I've found that Ibuprofen (2 or 3 tabs) before bedtime can seriously help with recovery. I don't like to take the script meds. I think everyone's experience with gout is a little different. These recommendations are based on my experiences. Hope this helps someone out there.

The quickest and IMO the healthiest form of relief without introducing more toxic drugs (colchicine/NSAID's) to my body has been bloodletting. Traditionally an Eastern medicine practice, bloodletting of the affected joint immediately reduces pain and inflammation, and within 24 - 48 hours I regain normal use of the joint. All the things he stated will help get rid of gout however times will vary. If you can treat the gout at the first stage of an attack before it's a full blown attack, you can get rid of it well with in 24hrs. Now if you have a full gout attack, it will take a couple days.
Before gout sets in, it will feel like a slight sprain, the pain and inflammation will gradually increase, at this stage, it is crucial to stop eating everything and start drinking tons of water, eating cherries, blackberries, and drinking 100% no sugar added cherry juice such as Just Black Cherry Juice where the only ingredient is Black Cherries.
Do that and you'll prevent a debilitating gout attack and the gout will dissipate with in a few hours to a day. Do it not and you're gonna get the painful, red, swollen limb and it will take days to recover.

Thankfully I’ve Been keto since 2018.
But 2010 I ended up with gout. It was horrible. The doctor gave me some pills. I checked the side effects and decided I was going to try natural first. Even though I read a few of the remedies you mentioned, baking soda changed my life after six weeks of horrible gout pain… I used a level teaspoon in 8 ounces of water twice a day in three days it was completely gone ❤
If you go to Earth Clinic channel, you’ll see all the uses of baking soda, and helping with pain is one of them. But it must do something to the uric acid in the joint because it worked amazing.

I'm a born skeptic of homeopathic remedies, but also a gout sufferer. So, after my latest (yesterday) attack, in both my knee and foot, I thought I'd go and purchase the items listed in the "show more" section under the video. Expensive! I still remain skeptical (because my attacks come and go, it seems a will [and weather!]), but after blasting my body yesterday with everything the list suggests, I am completely pain free this morning. Psychosomatic? Perhaps. But gone is gone. So, experiment 1 produced good results. But a scientist verifies. So I wait for my next bout to further determine if this is indeed a cure. :-) Please pardon my skepticism. If this proves effective again, I will convert.

Here is something I theorized, tried and it works for me on my big toe and on my heel..........At the first sign that you are about to have a flareup; take a shower and after rinsing, rub the affected area with your fingers such that you create a vibration on the skin (a slip/slide if you will). This action should break up the crystals before they have a chance to multiply and cause a severe flareup. I would be carefull if you are having a severe flareup as you could cause damage by the crystals if they are severe. I use to get several instances a year now I do this excersize regularly as a preventative and havn't had an episode in the last 4 years. Years ago I use to drink the black cherry juice and that did help but the process I described works great for me. PS: some soaps that have lubricity to them may prevent that slip/slide from occuring so you may need to try a differnt soap prior to rinsing. Also, I would warn against using a powered device on the area as that will most likley cause damage to your bones, easy does it! By the way, I eat everything now without issue!

Eliminating things that set it off and adding remedies is not a cure though. The kidneys can play a big role in why gout exists after someone had been able to eat all these things for years, what then, brings gout on? The bodies inability to filter out uric acid. Heal the kidney, insulin resistance and inflammation as well. It's a middle aged persons disease when their body gives way of health.

I have been experiencing extreme gout pain two to 3 times a year for lat 6 years. I rarely take alcohol, take non-veg once a week and that to in low quality. I gave up everything except my gene that causes gout.
    The solution that I got:
    1. Drink warm water. I start my day with 600 ml of warm water with lime. Take alleast 2 lit. of warm water throughout the day and make sure to take 500 ml warm water before going to bed.
    2. Take 1 spoon of triphala powder with warm water within 1 hour of dinner.
    3. Reduce processed food and meat products.
    4. Cardio exercise atleast 3 times a week.
With this simple steps, I am gout free for last 1.5 years.

I got myself free from gout for 5 years. How? I changed my diet to mainly eating salad and cooked vegetables. Cut out bread, meat, and processed foods. Sure I had them from time to time, but
not as part of my daily diet. So being gout free can be done, but you cannot backslide.
I’ve recently put back on a lot of weigh and started eating like gout was a thing of the past. Now I have gout again.
But at least I know what to do about it.

@Adam Dong If you lose weight at around 2lbs a week you should be fine, long as you drink a lot of water everyday. In fact you should be drinking lots of water everyday if you get gout.
One of the most important factors to keep flushing out the acid. Never starve yourself and stay well hydrated!
You must get yourself to a healthy weight and eat mostly natural clean foods. Limiting your meat, salt, sugar and processed food intake.
You can live, just make clean food part of your daily diet. That’s my advice anyway.
I know gout is beatable by doing what I’ve mentioned, but you must stay on track and not backslide.
Gout is horrible and trust me this lifestyle change is FAR better that getting gout all the time.
