I remember that in school, my classmates were making a musical. I was the one who hated all of the decisions they made (like casting bad singers as the main characters because they didn’t put up auditions), but never spoke up because I wasn’t the one in charge.

I was theatre kid adjacent in high school (pit orchestra ftw) and I don't think the theatre kids geeked out about Hamilton. They were much more eager to do impromptu presentations on obscure musicals you've never heard of.

I've only done one theatre production, and that seems to be very accurate.
I can confirm this is how we act. I just started Aladdin. I am also gonna see wicked soon. One tip you missed the fact that we quote lines of music or dialog from musicals even if we are having a perfectly normal conversation with someone who doesn't know musicals all that well. I also did 4 other shows before Aladdin

I wouldn’t call myself a theatre kid but some of these skits scream me- I too constantly sing and dance and teach people lyrics to song they don’t listen to.

as a theater kid, i can confirm that going to ihop (or a similar diner) is a tradition. however i found it very unrealistic how a theater kid was invited to a big party as i have never been to one. except for last weekend when we were having a cast party and the cops got called on us and all we were doing was playing just dance and wii sports and drinking lemonade
